OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick: Miami Fever, Solano, Americano, Honolulu and Mina Review and Swatches

I love established makeup brands, but lately I've been (and many others have been) trying a lot of Indie (not India) Brands. Indie Brands are smaller, lesser known makeup companies. They've become VERY POPULAR and there are MANY OF THEM! As a matter of fact, many of those well established makeup brands sometimes buy them (because they are such a threat). There are a lot of Indie brands out there! Are they all good? Of course not. But many do have really good products and ethics. OFRA Cosmetics has been on my beauty radar, so I wanted to try their liquid lipsticks. I caught a sale the end of last year and purchased six. I'm very impressed! The colors (pigmentation) are truly beautiful. The only one that was streaky was Mina (the darkest shade). The formula is also featherweight. They're very light on the lips. Now, these do dry down MATTE (do not expect them to be moisturizing). What I noticed though, is that they don't flake or crack once dried and most importantly do not look dry. They give you great color and look beautiful on the lips. Solano was the only metallic I purchased and I love it as well. Bottom line with OFRA, is that they create really good liquid lipsticks and they're PETA cruelty free. Just keep in mind, that with any matte formulated lipstick, your lips should be moisturized (because these don't provide any extra moisture). I also like that OFRA provides accurate lip swatches on their website. So it's easier to select a color & see how it looks on the lips. Have you tried any OFRA products? I have a highlighter from them I still have to review ... Rodeo Drive >.<

  2. OFRA has one of the best liquid lipsticks formula in the market, Kim and you know I'm a huge fan of the brand. I look forward to your review on the highlighter, I've seen it before and I noticed it's extremely intense.

  4. Admittedly, there aren't many indie beauty brands on my radar, except Lime Crime. Ofra is totally new to me, but I am so impressed by what I am seeing in this post, Kim! The colours of these liquid lipsticks are so vibrant and gorgeous. And it's so good to hear about a liquid lipstick that doesn't flake or crack, because they are not easy to find.

  5. I'm always wary of matte colors as they can be so drying and really make every little imperfection in my lips stand out - but these all look lovely on you, and I especially like the metallic.

  9. I've been hearing a buzz about OFRA lately, mainly on Instagram. The shades are so pretty and seem to be very pigmented; they look GORGEOUS on you, Kim! I like to experiment with lesser known brands, too, as they do tend to have strong ethics and are more transparent with those beliefs. Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you're having a wonderful day so far!

  11. I really like Miami Fever and Solano! The metallic is so pretty! I have the Manny MUA liquid lipstick collab with Ofra. I also have the dark dark purple one called Napa Valley that was in my BoxyCharm. I would love to try more. Thanks for sharing swatches of these Kim!

  14. Solano is a gorgeous metallic shade, you've definitely sparked a massive interest in metallic lip colours for me lately!! I can understand why you're becoming more interested in Indie Brands, sometimes they really can perform just as well as the more popular names! :)

  17. The swatches look so pretty! You always manage to make metallic liquid lipsticks look so wearable <3 I've also been more into indie brands lately, although more so in skincare than in makeup. I have yet to try anything from Ofra but their liquid lipsticks are totally on my radar! I've only heard good things :)

  19. I rarely wear liquid lipsticks, somehow that trend completely passed me by, but even I living under a rock have heard of Ofra. And as much as I would love to try more Indie brands, I somehow end up purchasing old and trusted names more often than not. I need to get more adventurous.

I'm not a fan of matte lipsticks on my lips but they do look great on others! :) It's nice you had such good experiences with this company.

  21. I haven't tried anything from Ofra, other than an eyebrow pencil I got in an ipsg bag a few years ago, when I didn't even know what the brand was yet! I've heard great things about their liquid lipsticks and I'm glad to know that you like them Kim! All the shades are beautiful on you! Especially like Solano and Mina. I enjoy trying out Indie brands as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these!

  22. I think it's great that you're trying out more indie brands Kim! With what's going on in the US now, it's more important than ever to support smaller brands and business owners. I've always heard good things about Ofra and these liquid lipsticks sound like winners. They must be on to something with a matte formulation that actually don't flake, crack or look dry.

  23. I really need to try Ofra products! I don't own any but I need to! Curious to hear your thoughts on their highlighter.

  24. ALL of these look amazing on you, Kim! I still haven't tried these -- but you know I'm very picky with my matte lipsticks, so that's why I haven't given these would go.

  29. Miami Fever is my favourite shade in this collection. I have not used much liquid lipsticks. I only ever used the Too Fcaed Melted lipstick which I like. I have only ever heard great things about the OFRA brand. I should look into their stuff more often. ;-)

  30. Oooo I am loving Miami Fever ♥ I have tried the Ofra x Manny MUA collaboration and I love the formula of these liquid lipsticks!

  31. I didn't know about Indie brands (I'll look them up on wiki). Honolulu and Mina (although you says it has some flaws) look great on you. I'm loving also Solano as metallic matte. Just fiy there's a mistake before the rating. Looking forward to the highlighter review! Love, Valeria
