Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Collection Review

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon has been on my wishlist for awhile! When this collection was first released, it was exclusive to Saks Fifth Avenue. Viktor & Rolf must've had a contract with them for at least two years. Well now it's more readily available. I decided to treat myself this Christmas to the collection. I wasn't disappointed. Do you know the meaning behind the bow? "While wearing a bow is a personal decorative experience, unwrapping one signifies a celebratory occasion. Sculpted to perfection, the one-of-a-kind Bonbon bow bottle proves that the impossible is possible."

supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)
Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Collection is Supersweet

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Eau de Parfum Spray
First of all, I adore the packaging! Such a cute bow. As you can see, it's dimensional from top to bottom. I love the scent. The top notes are Tangerine, Black Currant & Orange. The middle notes are Orange Blossom, Jasmine & Peach. The base notes are Guaiac Wood, Cedarwood & Caramel. When I spritz this perfume on, I immediately think Ooh La La and that it's Sexy & Sultry. It feels like a nighttime perfume. It's not bold or loud though. It's soft and has the perfect balance. It works well with my chemistry. Since it's so expensive, try and pick up a sample to see if it works for you.

Viktor & Rolf BonBon Exquisite Body Cream
Of course, the rest of the collection depends on whether you like the scent or not. I love it, so let me explain the rest of the products. Layering is a great way to make a scent last all day. Apply lotion or a body cream and then spritz your favorite scent. It really helps the scent "stick". This body cream is awesome! It's rich & creamy, but fluffy as a cloud. Not heavy at all. It's moisturizing to the skin and really hydrates the skin. My dry skin delighted in this cream. I love the jar and stamp atop the jar. The stamping reminds me of an Australian beauty company called MOR that I reviewed in 2013. This jar has a nice weight to it and would look great atop a vanity.

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Perfumed Body Lotion & Shower Gel
Now this is where it gets indulgent! When you love a scent so much, you want to incorporate it into your shower routine. LOL Both of these are very nice, but very expensive for the amount you get. So unless you have much bank, this will be an every now and then shower treat! HaHaHa The body lotion is also nice, but much thinner than the body cream above. If you have dry skin like me, you'll appreciate the body cream more.

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Satin Body Powder
Now the frou-frou product! LOL I haven't purchased body powder in ages! But since I wanted the collection, I wasn't going to pass this up. How sweet is this? The packaging is pretty big and circular. You get a fluffy white applicator and box of powder. The powder mimics the color of the packaging. It's a soft purplish-pink. A nice dusting before turning into bed, will lead to a dreamy night. This body powder can be incorporated in conjunction with the other products.

  1. Just the packaging alone won me over!

  2. I tried this in a sample and loved it!! And how gorgeous is the packaging! Pink looks so nice with the black bow at the front!!

  3. Oh I can see why you want the set, it's such cute packaging! :) I've heard good things about this perfume but never actually tried it yet, I should next time I'm in store! :)

Hope you're having a great week Kim! I love the gifs you've put in this post!

  4. This sounds like a scent I was would in the bottle - but also like a scent that would smell terrible on me :( When I was very young, I worked selling fragrances at a local department store. My taste in scents was young, too; I loved anything sweet and fruity and full of citrus. Unfortunately, every time I sprayed one of those citrus-y scents on me, I wound up smelling like I'd just cleaned my bathroom! Sadly, that's never changed, and while my taste in scents has evolved over the years, not being able to wear citrus-y smells definitely limits my fragrance options. I'm sure this smell beautiful on you, Kim!

  5. Oh goodness! How cute is this collection?!?! I am huge fan of the Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb, the scent of this one kinda similar? Anyhoo, thanks for the heads up as always:) Just the packaging alone on this is enough to make me wanna buy:D

  6. I'm a die hard fan of flowerbomb but still haven't smelled this in person! I musttttttttt!

  7. You are so right about layering your scents to make them last. This collection looks exquisite and the packaging is so feminine and darling.I can definitely see why you had your eye on them Kim! And your description of the scent sounds amazing. I need to get my hands on a sample.

  8. The packaging is so cute! I've never tried any Viktor and Rolf fragrances.I need to go smell this! I think I would like it based off your review! Thanks for sharing with us.

  9. I’ve seen this perfume around quite a bit, but didn’t know of the brand! It’s way too cute and must look adorable on your vanity. I’m glad you love the rest of the collection. My skin. Is so sensitive that I can’t do the layering of like to for scents I love unfortunately :( Usually the lotions irritate my skin, but I’m able to wear the fragrance. Thanks for sharing, gorgeous, and I hope you’re having a great week so far!

  10. I love love love this perfume range, I love Victor and Rolf and the Bon Bon range and even the flower bomb range :)

  14. Wow! How beautiful this collection, the perfume bottle is so cute and for those components it has to be a captivating aroma!

  15. Those fragrance notes are right up my alley. I'll have to keep an eye out for this. I'm actually not a big fan of the bow packaging though, I think because it reminds me of a product or brand I used a while ago and it must not have agreed with me hahaha!

  16. What a lovely gift for yourself Kim. I agree, the packaging definitely shouts Ooh La La! This is a beautiful gift set. Enjoy it! Xxxx

  17. What a lovely treat to yourself, Kim, wow! The packaging alone is an absolute pretty-in-pink DREAM - you must be the best smelling person stepping into 2018 haha. The Satin Body Powder is such a luxurious product, definitely something I can see myself picking up once I've tested the scent on my skin :)
