Tea Time: Marie Claire China

Would You Like A Cup Of Tea? Photographer Amber Gray, captures the essence of English Style "Tea Time" of the past and fast forwards it to the present in the current issue of Marie Claire China. I must say this fashion editorial is very charming, fantasy-like and of course whimsical. Models Kristi and Anna wear the designs of Stella McCartney, Prada, Lanvin, and Fendi selected by stylist Guillaume Boulez. I love how they have used flora within the shoot. Besides the fashion, the hats and set up are exquisite. As you can tell, I'm a slight fan of tea! HaHaHa

Are YOU a fan of tea or tea parties? I've been a fan since watching Alice in Wonderland! HaHaHa I try to go when I can. There's a Windsor Court Hotel here in New Orleans that does themed teas. I went to their Trick or Tea last Halloween and below are pics from an Alice in Wonderland themed tea last year. It was fun! There were more adults then children. I dragged my mom to it. HaHaHa Have a Great Day You Guys!

  21. Oh yes, I love high tea! I only do it once a year or so on special occasions! And I just have to say I'm in love with the top the model is wearing in the first photo- I'm not normally into lace or crochet and I don't even know what the thing she has on is called, but it's so beautiful! I love the last one, too! It makes me want to be able to read Chinese! Ha!

  25. I adore this editorial! It has such a fun fantasy quality and the styling and lighting is just amazing. I'm a total tea fan and love tea parties. It's been awhile since I've done afternoon tea though. It's so fun to get dressed up and enjoy some lovely tea and finger sandwiches. It looks like you had a fantastic time at that Alice in Wonderland themed tea. So cute that you got a pic with Alice and the Mad Hatter :)

Hope you're having a wonderful week Kim. And I hope you received your print and that you like it :D

  32. Funny how I adore tea time, tea pots, tea cups, tea gowns and big ascot style hats that go with them but have never concentrated an editorial on it. It is, like this piece, my absolute fave, vintage theme.

  33. I absolutely love afternoon tea, pretty china tea cups and teapots, tiered cake stands. There's nothing better than tea and cakes with dainty sandwiches....especially when they are themed like your Alice in Wonderland tea party which looks so cute!

  35. How charming, I wonder where you find all these fascinating editorials from all over the world! I'm not a fan of tea, I mean it's not a tradition I'm familiar with. However I would be a fan of those delicious cupcakes from your pictures!A big hug my friend :-)

  36. Kim, I adore that you share photo editorials like this one! This caught my eye on Pinterest, and I am so pleased that you made a post about it.
I really enjoy the whimsical feeling of these photos ( and I definitely am reminded of Alice in Wonderland! crossed with Marie Antoinette ). The pastel colors are wonderful, especially in that rosy hue glossed over all the pictures.

Wouldn't it be fun to be a part of an editorial like this...get all dressed up, have someone do your makeup and hair and have awesome pics of like these taken? It would be SO much fun!

My dream is to have my own beauty boutique and have a little tea area where peeps can nibble on macaroons and cupcakes when they buy our beauty potions!! <3

  46. OH Kim, I would love to dress up for a tea. I have never been to one but it sounds like something I would love to experience. Of course you have been to one, though. Love the yellow in your outfit. Is a tea something that you do one time just to experience or something that you could do all of the time? dawn suitcase vignettes xo
