L'Oreal Miss Pop Collection: Barbara Palvin

Friday, May 31, 2013

Have you incorporated BRIGHT or NEON colors into your makeup stash? I have a couple of nail polishes, but haven't purchased any lip color, eyeshadow or blush in those colors. I like brights and neons in small increments. I think too much sends you back to the 80's. HaHaHa I think I'm going to try orange and see how that works out. The reason I mentioned it, I saw this really colorful 60's Mod L'Oreal Miss Pop Collection photo shoot (lensed by Kenneth Willardt) featuring model Barbara Palvin. Before you get excited about this collection, I think it's only available in Europe (available now or in June). In the States, L'Oreal is releasing a Colour Rich Neon Pop Collection in June (it's at the very bottom of this post). Let me know your thoughts! Have a great weekend!

...and this is what the States get (below)! LOL
L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Neon Pop Collection (for the States)
834 - Banana Pop, 828 - Flashing Lilac, 825 - Energetic Tangerine, 827 - Acid Watermelon, 829 - 826 - Punchy Lychee, Atomic Purple, 833 - Wasabi Hint, 831 - Fluo Azur

Loving this collection! I'm pretty conservative with my makeup though but will be keen to wear a bright nail colour.

Eek! I love all the bright colors! I've never been a fan of the 60's too much but when it's done just right I love it...like this ad. I adore pops of bright color for my lips...not sure I could pull off a blue eye though. I'd probably need a makeup artist to put it on for it to look right or else I just look like a six year playing with makeup...giggle...

I love the bright colours, but don't know that I'd ever try them myself. Just nail polish maybe. I'm atrocious at makeup, so it's probably just as well lol

I like the bright lip colour, it looks fun and happy :)) Reminds me of the 80's but with more style and restraint, haha! Not clear to your eyebrows and beyond, haha. More 60's with a twist. I need a new lipcolour, will have to check these out!! Have a marvellous weekend my friend, I hope it's a lot of fun xx

I'm surprised that L'Oreal would choose to limit the release of such a bright, vibrant collection to Europe. At least here in France, most women over 18, myself included, are not particularly experimental with their make-up, nor do they wear that much besides mascara, eyeliner and lipcolour on a daily basis. It can actuallybe shocking to see someone with a full face on! I have to admit, though, the colours are fun - I would be willing to try a neon lip colour :)

Of course I love bright colours, haha! I don't usually like 60s makeup inspiration, but this is a pretty version. I would try the eyeshadows. xx/Madison Enjoy the weekend dear.

I like the campaign, but I don't think I could support so many pigments on my face without looking like a clown. The model looks fabulous though. As for the nailpolishes, I'm ready to try some bold shade!
Have a great weekend darling!

She is a beautiful model for this collection. I haven't tried any bright or neon makeup yet, but I really want to try a bright pink lipstick with otherwise natural makeup look. We'll see how it turns out:). Hope you have a great weekend Kim!

I've gotten some fuchsia lipstick but I don't put it on that thick, it is more like a sheer pink. I don't think I can pull off those super-bright hues on my lips!

Seriously, this girl is exquisite, she could definitely sell me florescent make up, only it wouldn't look as dazzling as it does on her, it might be a little scary actually, lol. I love the bright pink lips! Thanks as always for your wonderful words over at mine! Have an awesome weekend!

Man Kim, I am not sure of your age but I am sixty. This entire ad spread was taken from a Seventeen Magazine in 1966, I swear. I love all of this and you made me feel YOUNG AGAIN. Whenever I go to Forever 21 with my HM he always says, "Oh I want to stay in this store forever, then." hahahaha

Thanks for your fun and sweet comment! (hug) Have super weekend!
