She gave beauty fanatics like myself an option to "Be Pretty" (light pink) or "Be Bold" (dark pink). I don't wear light colors well, so I decided to purchase the darker pink cosmetic collection. This is my first time trying Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, so I was excited to give her products a twirl. Let's start with LIPSTICK!

Bobbi Brown Lip Color (Neon Pink) $25 is SupersweetI LOVE IT! Through the years, I've learned I wear BOLD (dark) colors well. Put a pale color on me, and I look like the kiss of death. HaHaHa I'm sure there are others, that are the exact opposite. Always do what WORKS for you! This lip color is described as a pink fuchsia. As you can see, it's VERY true to color. It's a gorgeous shade of pink, that's fun, pigmented, rich and creamy. It makes me SMILE. It felt good to my lips. The color is buildable. I swiped my lips several times to achieve this color. I'm not going to lie, when ordering I was super worried about the word "neon". HaHaHa However, it doesn't send you to the 80's. The color actually brightens you up. If you're not a lipstick girl, Bobbi offers a lip gloss in 'popsicle'. I don't do too well with lip glosses, so that's why I ordered the lipstick. I love that Bobbi offers options. A girl needs options!
Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Nail Polish (Pink Peony) $15 is SweetHer nail polish is very nice! It's a thinner polish than what I'm use to (Butter London & OPI), but application was very easy and not streaky. It layered well. I applied two (2) coats to achieve the opacity below. It dried quickly. So no complaints here. Loved the color. All I need now are some pink peonies. HaHaHa The wear time was 4 days for me.
Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Illuminating Bronzer (Pink Peony) $38 is SupersweetYou can use this pretty pink bronzer all over your face, but I just put it on my cheeks (as a powder blush) to show you a comparison from my skin to cheeks (color). What you see is about three (3) strokes. So just like the nail color, the illuminating bronzer is buildable. It's finely milled, so you don't have to worry about splotches. I really liked it and felt it gave my skin a healthy glow.
My Final Thoughts: So how do I look? I really liked this collection and I'm glad I purchased it. The color will take me into Spring and Summer. I was very impressed with the quality of the products. The packaging is minimalistic, but it's of VERY good quality (that's all that counts). I really don't have any complaints.
I've watched Bobbi Brown's cosmetic collections over the years and I know she's the master of neutrals. It's great to see her come out with more color (she has a NEW Nectar & Nude Collection for anyone interested in corals and she also collaborated with L'Wren Scott for anyone that likes purple). These collections are refreshing. Hope you enjoyed!
Wait!...NO SWEETS?...I wouldn't do that to you!...Chocolate pistachio & rose petal chocolate bar from Sucre ...See, I'm BOLD...I eat flowers! LOL :)
