Too Faced Grande Hotel Cafe is Supersweet
Too Faced -Christmas In New York - Grande Hotel Box - Outer PackagingThe outer packaging (box) was inspired by one of Jerrod Blandino's favorite hotels in New York. On the box, the hotel is pink & green with a Too Faced wreath. The back of the box shows what is "inside" the hotel. What's inside? Girl, keep on reading!
Too Faced - Christmas In New York - Grande Hotel CafeOnce you open the box above, you then pull out the actual Grande Hotel Cafe. It has a removable roof and the doors open to reveal two Christmas trees, The Grande Hotel Cafe, three (3) eye shadow palette booklets, and a mini size Better Than Sex Mascara. The artwork & details that went into making this was absolutely extraordinary. It reminds me of a doll house! It is so pretty! The cafe has a coffee station, sweet treats, diner tables & chairs, Christmas wreaths and a cute couple sitting inside. Beneath each painted Christmas tree are "Too Faced products" such as their Better Than Sex mascara, Chocolate Bar Eye shadow Palette, and Sweetheart Collection. It's magical!
Too Faced - Christmas In New York - Grande Hotel Cafe - Eggnog Latte Eye Shadow PaletteThere are three (3) little booklets housed in The Grande Hotel Cafe. This is Eggnog Latte! Eggnog Latte has a lot of neutrals (L-R): Frosty Nog, Eggnog Latte, Iced Coffee, Skinny Latte, and Cold Brew. Central Perk is a gorgeous metallic green! Peach Cobbler is highly pigmented peach blush. All of the shadows in this group displayed excellent pigmentation & quality. I only used Smashbox primer on my hand. The booklet displays all kinds of Christmas baubles & ornaments...tied with a string of course! If you wish to give them as gifts, there's a To and From for each on the back. There's a slight scent of Eggnog, but only slightly.
Too Faced - Christmas In New York - Grande Hotel Cafe - Peppermint Mocha Eye Shadow PaletteThe next booklet is Pepperming Mocha! Peppermint Candy Canes & Lollies decorate the outer cover of this booklet. These shades remind me of berries & chocolate! A very nice combination indeed. From L-R you have, Peppermint Cream, Christmas Blend, Peppermint Mocha, Candy Cane (the only disappointing one out of the group...very chalky), Sprinkles and Coffee Chip. The blush is called Santa Baby :) Love that song! The quality of the eye shadows & blush were superb except for Candy Cane. Did the palette smell like peppermint mocha? I didn't pick up anything.
Too Faced - Christmas In New York - Grande Hotel Cafe - Gingerbread Cookie Eye Shadow PaletteThe last booklet in the collection is called Gingerbread Cookie. I LOVE a gingerbread theme and this is THE CUTEST booklet in MY book! LOL It's a cookie theme. It shows cookie Christmas trees, stars and of course gingerbread men! The shades in this booklet are L-R: Ginger Cream, Maple Syrup, Ginger Snap (GORGEOUS!!!), Winter Dream, Cup of Joe (gorgeous rich dark brown with gold, but it shows up dark on my hand) and Black Coffee. The Gingerbread BRONZER (but I'm going to use it as a BLUSH) is super awesome! I thought the other blushes were a little loud, but I love the Gingerbread bronzer/blush LOL. I wish they would make it by itself. HaHaHa There are a couple of shades in each palette (Eggnog Latte, Cold Brew, Christmas Blend and Winter Dream) that look like metallics, BUT they're more like a foil. It's a very cool effect. I haven't played with foil shadows. I know Lime Crime came out with some, but these are very cool! I think Too Faced calls theirs shimmer shadows. Does it smell like gingerbread? Faintly! LOL I didn't pick up any major scents with any of these.
Grande Hotel Cafe How To Glamour GuideAnd finally, you know Too Faced is going to give you a Glamour Guide of Looks! How cute are the names!?! Cocoa Cappuccino, Spiked Eggnog, Gingerbread Gurrl and Peppermint Pop! Love them! I can't wait to play with these palettes!
My Final Thoughts: I think Too Faced did a superb job with the The Grande Hotel Cafe! I absolutely adore it. The quality from the packaging to the eye shadows was superb. Only one eye shadow disappointed me (candy cane) and I was looking forward to some yummy scents (non-existant), but everything else wow'd me. If you were thinking about getting this, don't hesitate. It is well worth the money and I feel surpasses The Christmas In New York Chocolate Shop Palette (which costs way more). I included Jerrod Blandino's YouTube video explaining the entire collection below.
