Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Perfume Review

I purchased a lot of perfumes this month: Viktor & Rolf Bon Bon, Carolina Herrera Good Girl, and Juicy Couture Gold & Noir. My little perfume collection has grown. My favorites out of this group have been Viktor & Rolf, Carolina Herrera and now Yves Saint Lauren Mon Paris. When Mon Paris first came out, I instantly fell in love with the bottle. The shape of the bottle feels so good in the hands. It has some weight to it, but is easy to hold. Although mainly smooth (except at the top),  it feels like an expensive white diamond. Another lovely feature is its signature Yves Saint Laurent black bow! You always see it on YSL designs (on the runway), so I like that they incorporated it on the perfume bottle. The scent is absolutely fabulous! The notes are as follows: (Top) Strawberry, Raspberry, Bergamot, Calone (Middle/Heart) Pear, Orange Flower, Jasmin Sambac, White Peony, Datura (Base) Patchouli, White Musk, Ambrox, Cedarwood, Crystal Moss. The only way I can describe it, is that it smells like luscious juicy fruit (not the gum you guys! not the gum. LOL) & sparkling champagne. It's so delightful! I smile every time I take a whiff. I super love this and unlike other fragrances, it doesn't change on you. I love this so, that I'm putting it right up there with my absolute favorite perfume Wish by Lollia. So do take a sniff, the next time you're shopping :) It's offered in an array of sizes and is priced from $29 - $124. I'm glad I added this one to my collection. Have you tried it? Have a great day!

  5. I'm really sensitive to smells and I'm scared to buy perfume and it doesn't work out. I should really find a light scent and give it a try.

  6. This perfume has such a history! When I worked as a department store fragrance girl years ago, we still sold the original version, Baby Doll Paris, which was released in the eighties. It was vibrant pink, in a top-shaped glass bottle. The fragrance was very sweet and, in the late teens, I loved it. That old version was finally discontinued and YSL has been working to evolve the line of Paris scents every since, but I have to say, I think this one is the best since the original. I have it in my perfume collection, too, and the bottle is as gorgeous as the fragrance inside.

  17. I'm such a sucker for perfume packaging, though i usually only rotate two perfumes at once until one if finished so I can buy a new one. I will have a sniff of this one once I'm out of my current ones

  18. Oh, I'm really lazy to wear perfumes Kim, maybe because I work in an eye clinic. I will check this out when I shop next time.
