Not Sponsored. I purchased several items from the MAC Cosmetics Shiny Pretty Things Christmas Collection. It's a HUGE collection you guys, so what I purchased is only the tip of the iceberg. Let me go over each with you, share my thoughts and if you would like to see these products in action, definitely check out my YouTube video.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

MAC Shiny Pretty Things: Face Compact Medium/Deep ($39.50) - Sweet
This compact contains a highlighter (Soul Glow), blush (Carolers) and a bronzer (Quick Trip). All swatched really well (as you can see from the back of my hand). I used a fluffy makeup brush to apply the bronzer. It really gives your skin warmth. I tried using it to contour my face, but it wasn't as effective. The blush is a warm peachy-brown shade. I love it and felt it gave a nice wash of color to the face. I feel it's the winner in the palette. I then applied Soul Glow to my nose, cheeks and cupids bow. It's a very soft gold! You'll have to apply several layers to your skin for it to effectively show up. Nonetheless, it's very pretty. I show you each step-by-step below and the final look with all three in the last picture. The compact that these are housed in is a pink metallic. It's actually a rippled material. It's a very nice modern touch.
Quick Trip (Bronzer + Contour) - Carolers (Blush) - Soul Glow (Highlighter)

MAC Shiny Pretty Things Oh Darling Extra Dimension Skinfinish ($35) - Supersweet
I also purchased Oh Darling! You may remember Oh Darling being initially released as a Limited Edition product. It was so popular that it became permanent. Now they've released it as part of their 2018 Christmas Collection literally wrapped as a bow. The bow is dimensional and textured. It comes in a silver compact with mirror. I will say the compact feels cheep (lightweight), but it looks good. I loved Oh Darling better than the Soul Glow highlighter above. I felt it had more oomph! I also feel its complimentary to more skin tones. It's very complimentary to the above palette.

Old Oh Darling (more gold) vs. New 2018 Oh Darling (more brownish gold) vs. Soul Glow
Bottom to Top
Out of curiosity, I wanted to compare and contrast my old oh darling to this new one. The old one is more gold! The new one has a little more brown in it. I thought that was interesting. Both are still pretty, despite the minor differences.

Whisper of Gilt & Pleasure Model (MAC Nutcracker)
I also wanted to compare MAC Nutcracker (Whisper of Gilt / Pleasure Model) with this new collection. Pleasure Model (top swatch) and Carolers (third swatch) are very similar in color. Whisper of Gilt (bottom swatch) is gold, but as you can see not much variation from the other golds. So if you have some of the older collection, you may not need this.

MAC Shiny Pretty Things - At Leisure ($19.50) - Sweet
At Leisure is a frost. MAC describes the color as a creamy pink beige with gold pearl. It's the warmest frost I've ever tried. I thought it was really beautiful and complimentary to the collection. It felt really good on the lips.

MAC Shiny Pretty Things - Babetown ($19.50) - Sweet
How cool is the name? I love it! Babetown is a cremesheen. MAC describes the color as a dirty beige pink. I saw this on someone else and it pulled purple on her. It pulls purple on me. I thought it needed something else so I added...

MAC Shiny Pretty Things - Ice Orchid Lipglass ($18.50) - Sweet
....I added Ice Orchid Lipglass... MAC describes this as a midtone cool pink. I really need to get my eyes checked because to me it has a lot of purple in it. I applied it over Babetown and it really added dimension to the color.

MAC Shiny Pretty Things - Caketop ($18.50) - Sweet
Caketop is my favorite lipglass! Besides the name, I absolutely love the color! MAC describes it as a pinky peach with icy shimmer. Warm tones always compliment me and this color is very complimentary to the face palette...blush, bronzer and all. It really adds warmth to my face and ties everything together.

Great collection. Solid collection. You can build the color for each by just adding more. I found all the colors wearable during the day and also at night. The packaging really puts you in the holiday spirit. MAC did a great job. I love it. If you would like to see these products in action, click on the picture below or here.
