Imperial Palace Biloxi Review And Morris Day & The Time

Not Sponsored: Oh Guys! I had such a good time this weekend. There's nothing like a quick weekend getaway to recharge. I went to the Imperial Palace Casino, Resort & Spa in Biloxi, Mississippi. They're known for their entertainment. If you like 80's & before, they will most likely have a concert for you. I missed seeing Prince when he was in New Orleans (2014), so when I found out Morris Day & The Time were going to be in Mississippi, I knew I had to go. Before I talk about the concert, let me tell you about some of the amenities at the hotel.

The Imperial Palace Casino, Resort & Spa is located in Biloxi, Mississippi. It's 32 stories tall and has 1000 rooms & suites. They're known for their concerts, but they also have a spa, offer golfing, gaming and lots of dining options. I loved the blue & white decor of the rooms and I had a terrific view of the Bayview Area. They also take security seriously. You must present your room card to even enter the elevator leading to your room. It was clean & nice.

They have a lot of shops & quick places to stop for snacks. Chill plays the best music and offers delicious drinks. I love the various seating areas. If you want to pick up a quick snack, Infusion has Starbucks Coffee, Blue Bell Ice Cream, pre-made sandwiches, cookies, drinks and cake. They have a cute shopping boutique, where my mom found a sweater coat. They also sell all kinds of jewelry, accessories and clothing. I found a cute activewear set (pictured below) at Essentials. Essentials also has candy, drinks, popular medicine, toys, tshirts...(yeah, a little bit of everything).

IP Biloxi has a number of restaurants. Let me tell you my two favorites! One is Bayview Cafe. Can I just discuss decor for a minute. I have an obsession with beautiful soft brick outfitted with wall decor. I loved the neutral tone of this restaurant. I also had an obsession with their shrimp & crawfish pasta! It was so good. The dish is fresh gulf shrimp, crawfish tails, bell pepper, garlic, tomatoes, linguini and tarragon cream sauce. I also really enjoyed their seafood platter that can be shared by two people. I also enjoyed their chicken quesadillas.

Another stop you should make is to their Back Bay Buffet. Their Breakfast has SO MANY options! I loaded up with juices (cranberry, orange), pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns and cheese grits. They also have healthy choices and plenty of fruit! Ok, you have to go to their Seafood Buffet on Friday & Saturdays. They have boiled seafood (hot shrimp, boiled corn, sausage, mushrooms, shrimp pasta), fried seafood, greens, macaroni & cheese, bbq seafood, bbq, asian food and dessert bar. The food tasted so good, Kudos to the cooks. Usually with mass food productions like this, you lose out on flavor. NOT WITH the Back Bay Buffet. The cooks can COOK!

Here's my mom and I at the Morris Day & The Time concert. I love Studio A. Honestly ANYWHERE you sit is a good seat. There are no bad seats. It's so intimate and you don't get lost. Plus, everyone is so friendly. The audience and ushers were very nice. He and his band put on an AMAZING CONCERT. He can sing and his back up was superb. People were singing and dancing. He had people come on the stage. He even did several outfit changes. He sang all his greatest hits. I'm so glad I went. He also paid homage to Prince.

The topping on my weekend? I won $200 with just a $20 in the machine. LOL I was thrilled. They have some really cute slots. They have a Willy Wonka slot machine, but I was enamored with the Game of Thrones one (so interactive) and Wonder Woman with Linda Carter. I had a fun weekend and if you know anyone that lives on the Gulf Coast tell them about IP Biloxi. It caters to a 40+ crowd, but it's laid back and fun.
