Kopari Lip Scrubby | Lip Scrub Review

Not Sponsored: I've never tried the brand Kopari. They've been on my Sephora wish-list forever. So when Sephora's Spring Sale began, I decided to purchase a couple of products from them and give them a whirl. Let me give you a little background information about Kopari. Every product they make starts with 100% pure organic coconut oil sustainably sourced from small family farms in the Philippines. The brand loves all things natural. Their products are sulfate free, paraben free, cruelty free, phthalate free and vegan. They make skincare, hair care and personal care products. Another thing that really impressed me about this company, is that their packaging can be recycled with a company called TerraCycle (Kopari Free Recycling Envelope Program). It's a really interesting program, that I think deserves a blog post all on it's own. You simply request an envelope from TerraCycle, fill it with Kopari plastic packaging (tubs, tubes, bottles and pumps), affix the pre-paid return label on the outside of the envelope and drop it off at a USPS location. TerraCycle partners with a number of brands. Again, I will write a blog post about this company soon.

So what are my thoughts regarding Kopari's Lip Scrubby, lip scrub? It's really good you guys! I think what kept me from trying this lip scrub for the longest were the words volcanic sand. I tried a volcanic mask once and the results were not good (so I was worried about my lips). So anything with the words volcanic, I stayed away from. Well, you will not want to stay away from this lip scrub! It contains pure coconut oil, fine volcanic sand, brown sugar, crushed coconut shells. The sand, sugar and shells are what exfoliates the skin on your lips. The organic coconut oil has loads of fatty acids to help hydrate and soothe the skin on your lips. I noticed right away, its great natural vanilla scent (think vanilla bean). A little goes a long way with this lip scrub. You literally take one finger, dab it into the lip scrub, apply it to your lips and it's enough to exfoliate both of your lips. DON'T SCOOP IT OUT! DAB! If you scoop, it will be too much. INSTANT exfoliation. INSTANT moisture. Your lips will feel soft & supple. The formula is not greasy. It is a little heavier than my favorite lip scrub Sara Happ, but I could see myself using this 1-2x a week (beginning/end of the week), or if I feel my lips need a little more attention (night/winter). I'm really impressed with this product. It really gets the job done. I also find this product to be very UNISEX. With my Sara Happ, it's very feminine/very girlie. I think both men and women wouldn't mind using this lip scrub. Don't hesitate trying this product.
