Harper's Bazaar China: Sui He

I really liked this photo shoot featuring model Sui He for Harper's Bazaar China. I haven't posted nearly as many fashion editorials or ad campaigns as last year, because so many have been blah, bland and um really? I guess that's why I've been doing beauty posts. HaHaHa Collections are another story! Gorgeous! But I don't usually post collections.

Well this photo shoot lighted a little fashion spark. I enlarged my favorites (two) HaHaHa and the only thing I didn't care for was the way the Alexander McQueen was styled. Seriously, they could've left the hoop out from under that gorgeous dress. Nobody wants that big of a bum. HaHaHa

This photo shoot is lensed by Mei Yuan Gui and the stylist is Fan Xiaomou.

Model He poses in Miu Miu, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Burberry Prorsum, Haider Ackermann, and Dior.

  3. she's such a bombshell and photographs so fantastically. i'm a huge fan! love the styling too, possibly my fave, the acid yellow gucci number. just wish there wasn't so much photoshop involved ;) two cents from a magazine art director, haha.

  7. Love the "vibe" of the first picture. It reminds me of 80's Spanish-style photo shoots, but in a good way. She does look gorgeous - well, she would as a model I guess... ;-) Have a lovely day xo

  8. i find as time goes on, and maybe as magazines sell less copies because there are so many online fashion resources, the editorials for the most part become less inspiring. These days, I only buy a magazine if I know there's something in it I'll feel inspired by, because I've been so often disappointed. Not so with this beautiful spread! I love how it's strictly about Sui and the clothes she's wearing; no frills, virtually no props, just a beautiful woman wearing beautiful garments. I'm officially on the hunt for a copy of Vogue China :)

  10. Well, she's rather gorgeous isn't she!?! I always think girls like this should be on every kind of magazine, but I sometimes only see them on publications for the specific place like China. Which is a shame to me, she is stunning! And to be honest, I always think the editorials are more interesting than the US ones or even the UK ones sometimes. They seem less afraid to just go wild! I love all the clothes, the last shot is my favourite I think. I would wear all of these after seeing her in them, the pictures make me want to shop, haha!! I agree about the hoop, it wouldn't have been so bad if I couldn't actually see the wires, but the fact that I can see them is distracting. It's a gorgeous dress, it didn't need anything else. This is a marvellous editorial! Have a gorgeous day doll xx P.S. I have no idea why the eggs here are so huge for Easter, shall ask Gavin. I know the egg is meant to represent the stone that covered the tomb of Jesus, so maybe they just wanted it large like a stone would have been, but I'll ask. Maybe their just obsessed with chocolate, hahaha! But, they are massive!! xx

  11. Agree with you about the McQueen dress, so strange with the hoop underneath! The dress itself is so nice though :)

Also - food through the internet, yes please! Waffles coming out of the CD tray, no-one uses CDs any more, waffles instead! haha! If we can't have that invention, a self-organising closet would be my next pick, haha! :) Always love your comments :)

  19. Even though I love the model and the styling, I prefer editorials with a "richer" setting, or contest. The A. McQueen dress with the big bum is nevertheless breathetaking! Tons of kisses! xx Coco

  22. Hi Kim, I love that you're posting what you find inspiring (because that translates to what we find inspiring as well) and if fashion isn't inspiring you, you just wait until something is inspiring enough to post ... and I agree, she is inspiring and lovely (what pretty features and SKIN!) I love the first black and white image, very glamorous! Thanks for stopping by and your wonderful comments on recent posts, Kim ...I love your blog, it's a HAPPY PLACE to be ;) Have a great week! xo ~S

  24. Kim, I agree that there just haven't been that many inspiring editorials and campaigns so far this year. I've been posting them less too. This pictorial is gorgeous though. I love how it has a bit of a graphic edge through the way it's photographed and styled. That hat in the last shot is stunning.

Hope you're having a great week so far sweets!

  30. I love the red on red on that one page... it blends the model into the page, but there's still a sense of third dimensionality. A really lovely editorial, indeed--and you can never go wrong with red, black, and white! :)

  31. Stunning! I kinda like the hoop - it would hide the fact that my actual bum is nearly as big :)

  32. There's something to be said for good editorials. It speaks volumes and lets models and clothes shine.

The very first image is just lovely. I think I love the very spaniard style of this Lauren collection. Keep blogging about what moves you, that is what sets your fabulous blog aside from the rest. XOXO
