Fashion Melts by Toufic Araman

This photo shoot is called "Fashion Melts" by photographer Toufic Araman of the aramanstudio group. I couldn't help but giggle when I first saw these pictures. They reminded me of two scenes in the movie, The Wizard of Oz. The first one of course, is at the end when The Wicked Witch Of The West screams, "I'm melting! melting!" The second is at the beginning of the movie, when the house falls on her sister after a tornado and all you see are her sparkly ruby red slippers.

With all the extreme and crazy weather we've been having lately: heat, rain, and tornadoes. I wouldn't mind a Chanel handbag falling from the sky! HaHaHa Let it rain designer fashion! You guys have a great Tuesday! Now I want an ice cream cone. HaHaHa

  5. These photos are too funny, Kim! The fashion industry as a whole, bloggers included, can sometimes be guilty of taking themselves too seriously... it's nice to see an editorial really lighten things up. And I'm so without about a Chanel bag falling from the sky, who wouldn't want that to happen?!

  28. Hahha Kim, where do you find all these pics?? I love all your posts. Usually when I'm done reading and laughing, I usually think to myself... Where does she find this stuff?? Hilarious! I feel bad for these models... They totally look like they're being suffocated underneath these giant cones, but boy do they look fashionable regardless! Heck if I had a Chanel bag falling from the sky at me, put anything on my head... A toilet even!

  52. Kim here I will admit to one of my phobiae: the whole Wizard of Oz story scares me to such an extent that I couldn't watch the movie. What am I, 5 yrs old?? Well, of course a Chanel bag falling from the sky would calm me down too! Ps. When I was camping I thought about your stories about the Brownies and I smiled at myself. You must write a children's novel about that, really!
