Too Faced Sweet Tea Sweetheart Bronzer Baked Luminous Glow Bronzer Review & Swatches

Yesterday (Day 1) I showed you the Too Faced Highlighter Warm Glow. I also used Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Warm Beige. Today (Day 2), let's talk about the newest Too Faced Bronzer, Sweet Tea Sweetheart Bronzer. Two years ago, I purchased the Too Faced Sweetheart BLUSH in Something About Berry (see HERE & boy have I changed since then LOL). I thought that pink was super cool back then, but my tastes have since calmed down (and don't even talk about those swatches). I'm more into neutrals and softer colors. If you follow me on Snapchat, you'll know I did a HUGE pink makeup throw away. I love pink, but not all pink makeup was made for me. LOL So anyway, I was leery about Sweet Tea when it came out the beginning of this year. I didn't see any blogs or vlogs talking about it. Well, a "regular" girl finally swatched it and posted it on instagram. Jackpot! The swatch looked gorgeous! So I ordered it! BTW, instagram is a great outlet to look at swatches. It arrived and it was love at first sight! What I love about Too Faced bronzers is that they're BROWN. There's no orange thing going on. The only other bronzers I have from Too Faced are Milk Chocolate Soleil and Snow Bunny. See all of them, in my Snapchat Story Favorites post. Sweet Tea has a LIGHT (golden beige) & DARK (brewed tea bronze) side. You can safely say, one is a champagne gold highlighter and the other is a bronzer. I like that there are equal amounts of each and can be used separately. I also like how both blended together. It creates for a gorgeous look. I contoured my face with this bronzer and applied one application to my face and neck in the picture below. Be light handed, because it builds with each application! You can get dark really quick. I love it! It really gives you a nice glow.

A Sweet Surprise! It's time for another Sweet Surprise! Today's Sweet Surprise goes to Ashley of Ashley Sue Makeup. I've been wanting to get Ashley something for awhile, but I didn't know exactly what to get her and I didn't want to get her just anything. I like to get things I know a person will use. LOL Ashley is a cosmetician and beauty blogger/vlogger, so I knew she LOVED makeup ... but WHAT TO GET HER? Well, she just recently did a blog post on Kat Von D's new Shade + Light Eye Quad in Rust and absolutely loved it. She mentioned, she wanted another one (because there are 4). She also wrote (does anyone else read other comments on blogs LOL) on Beauty With Lily blog, that she was "dying to get that Kat Von D (Shade + Light Eye Palette) and I can't stop thinking about it". Well Ashley, yesterday I ordered both the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette and Shade + Light Eye Contour Quad in Plum (I thought the plum one would look great on you). Both are shipping to you straight from Kat Von D. Her website said about 3 days. You guys, if you like makeup follow Ashley's blog. She covers drugstore, mid-range, does lifestyle posts and healthy eating & living. It's always a pleasure to visit her blog and she leaves the sincerest comments. She truly loves makeup and takes a sincere interest in everyone's blog. Everyone loves comments, but not all comments are the same. You can always tell, when someone is truly into your blog (just by their comment). Enjoy Ashley! See my other two Sweet Surprise winners HERE and HERE. I know my faithful commenters, so if I haven't featured you yet don't despair. I'm just trying to figure out the right thing to give you ;)

  1. I have been dying to try this ever since they first announced it! The packaging (as always from Too Faced) is to die for and I really like that its more of a brown rather than an orangey shade as well. I had held off because I hadnt heard any reviews either so I'm happy to see you give it a thumbs up :) And eeek so excited for Ashley, shes such a sweetheart!

  6. I'm such a dumb ass when it comes to makeup, I often bought something which is not for my skin and ended up throwing it! This face pallete look impressive, wondering whether it will be good for my skin color or not??

  7. I am a huge fan of Too Faced bronzers, as you know - I have at least four in my arsenal right now! The thing is, I can never seem to finish any of them. I think I'm still working on the original four that I bought what feels like ages ago, so I'm holding off on purchasing any more, but I'll definitely be keeping this one in mind!

  10. First off, that's incredibly sweet of you to gift one of your readers with a product and how you did a bit of research to get her something she truly wanted. That touched me :) Now, I LOVE this duo, which looks amazing on you! I know the struggle of finding a bronzer that's brown and doesn't look muddy or orange on the skin and this one doesn't at al! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, beautiful, and I hope you're having a great day so far!

  11. Woot! This bronzer looks fab on you, Kim:) I think bronzers are really hard to nail coz it's easy to have that muddy effect, but having the light and dark on this one is just right.
And Ashley sounds like a great gal...will check out her blog:) You're really so sweet with these surprises. XOXO

And this too faced bronzer is so gorgeous! Between you an Tanya's blog post yesterday, I definitely need to pick this up! I love how you can use the one side as a highlight like you said! And the name alone of this is enough to make me want it lol!! Who doesn't want a bronzer called sweet tea!
And oh girl I use to buy so much pink makeup! It's like that's what I bought before I knew what kind of colors and shades I liked LOL!!!

  16. ughhhh I think I need that bronzer! I've been looking for a new one (currently been using benefit hoola and my Pur one) but I've been wanting an upgrade but I've been sooo undecided. I usually hate shimmery bronzers but for some reason I am so drawn to this one!I liked the marc jacobs but couldn't bring myself to spend $50 so this might be the one because the milk chocolate I wasn't thrilled about.

  20. Reading how you tailored your gift to Ashley makes me so happy - Kim, you truly are the sweetest! I bet she's thrilled! Those Kat Von D contour eye kits are definitely a product to watch. I currently have the "Rust" color in my shopping cart and I'm just waiting till payday xD Haha!
Anyway, you're making me want to add even more items to my shopping cart with this fab review! Too Faced is a brand I have yet to try (I'm not at makeup guru status yet, but I'm working towards it lol). Maybe I'll start with this highlighter/bronzer duo! :D

Kim...you are the absolute sweetest! I know Ashley is going to be thrilled with your sweet surprise! BTW - I always read comments on other blogs. LOL! Well, not always, but if I have time, I do. And I know what you mean about how you can tell if someone truly loves your blog, just by their comment, it just shows. So thank you, for taking interest in my little 'ol blog!

  28. Maybe it's because I'm Southern, but I love that this is named Sweet Tea! Bronzer/Highlighter duos are very practical, and I really like it when you can swirl the colors together. This is very pretty! It's so nice of you to send that palette to Ashley. She's always great about leaving comments on my blog, and it's nice having her around!
