Jordana Made To Last Eye Shadow Collection in Plumbelievable Review & Swatches

Sponsored: I was asked if I would like to try an eye shadow palette by Jordana. I said, sure! I had never heard of the brand, so I was intrigued to learn more about them. They are a family-owned business based out of Los Angeles, California. Their products are Vegan, Made In The USA and they've been around 25 years (so where have I been? HaHaHa)! I did a store locator search and their makeup is sold at Walgreens (US drugstore for my international readers). The palette sent to me, is from their Made To Last Eye Shadow Collection. It's called PLUMBELIEVABLE! Don't you just want to sing, "You're Unbelievable" by EMF! HaHaHa This palette contains 6 eye shadows. Some are really good and a couple are ok. The really good ones are the 4 shades in the middle. They are a combination of rose gold, a plum, champagne and raisin color. I think these 4 shades could make a couple of very pretty looks. Of those 4, three are more "foil" shades than metallics. The two that struggled, were the 2 on each end. The lighter shade was chalky, even after applying it to my lids. The black was also chalky and not very pigmented. Due to this, the black probably would create a beautiful smoked out look. But you would probably need to use another black eye shadow in your collection to complete the look. Again, the four colors in the middle are what impressed me. Have you tried any Jordana products?

  1. I've only tried a few Jordana products. An eyeliner and a lip crayon I think! this palette looks pretty. You're right that the 4 shadows in the middle are gorogeous, and definitely seem more pigmented than the outer two! Thanks for your honest thoughts Kim!

  5. Ooh thanks for the new brand introduction Kim! It's a pity not all of the shades impressed, though 4/6 isn't bad! I adore your swatches by the way, feeling like a magpie when I say... sooo shiny! ;)

  9. The Walgreens I go to only has a small selection of Jordana products so I've actually never seen these. The 4 shades that worked best, look really pretty! I love these types of colors...I only wish I could wear metallics/foiled shadows...but with my hooded lids, it's kind of hard too, so I stick to mattes mostly.

  11. Is Jordana the sister brand of Milani or was that another brand? That said, the shades in the palette are really pretty but shame that the quality is not consistent. We don't get the brand Jordana here but if we ever do then I know what to skip.

  13. I've only seen Jordan products a handful of times, but I've always been curious about their quality - I suspected that the shadows might not be up to scratch and I'm so glad you've confirmed it, Kim. Thanks for an honest review!

  14. The shades are fabulous. The swatch makes me want to buy them.
I have seen this brand around in my country, like A LOT. However I have never been attracted by the packaging ....

  15. The four in the middle are def the show stoppers. You can tell the matte ones are chalky and not really as pigmented. This is a pretty afforable brand but i haven't tried much from it. Maybe a liquid liner. Your swatches are always sooo good!

  16. You know...I think I've only tried one Jordana item I got in a swap but can't even remember what it was. It would be nice to get the line here in Canada. Anyhoo, thanks for the honest review of this palette, Kim. I do like the shades, but too bad about the chalky ones.

  17. I've actually seen this brand Duane Reade which is a popular NYC drugstore chain owned by Walgreens but I didn't know much about them or try them before. The shades in this palette are quite pretty. It's a bummer that the two end shades weren't that good but I guess you could make do if you really like the middle ones. I always appreciate your honest reviews Kim!

  20. I think I've heard of this brand on YouTube, but have never tried any of their products before. This palette looks so pretty and screams fall. I like that you suggested that the black can be used for a smoked out look, since it's not as pigmented. That rose gold and burgundy shades are my absolute favorite of the set! Thanks so much for sharing, my gorgeous friend, and I hope you're having the best week so far!

  22. Jordana is a brand known here although it is not easy to get, I always read good reviews of this brand especially their lipsticks, besides its price is affordable. pity that the shadows do not fulfill your expectations.

  23. The rose gold is so gorgeous! It's a pity the chalk and black shades didn't really deliver - the colors are lovely!
