Vogue China: Jewelry Allure

On the cover of the February Vogue China edition is Zhao Wei
<---Is she wearing Dior? I swear that's the same dress Mila is wearing below (Tuesday's Post). Maybe it's late and my eyes are deceiving me. LOL

The makeup. The jewelry. The clothes. This 'Jewelry Allure' editorial (below) that will be published in February's 2012 Vogue China is just as the title suggests... alluring.

Who are the models? They are Xiao Wen, who is from Xi'an City, China (one of China's oldest cities). She is one of China's top fashion models. Then there is Grace Gao (Gao Guo Zhi) of Jiang Su province in China.

Who's the photographer? That would be american fashion and beauty photographer Stockton Johnson. The fashion stylist is Yi Guo. She was born in Shanghai and raised in New York City. She's currently on staff at Vogue China and travels between New York and Shanghai. The sparkling gems the models are wearing are from Tasaki by Thakoon and clothing is by Dolce & Gabbana.

Why am I giving this extra synopsis'. I love to know (when possible) the story and people behind the picture. We sometimes forget the talented people that put these marvelous creations together. It's always teamwork! Without the model...Without the photographer...Without the fashion designer...I think you get my point. I just wish I had one of those necklaces.HaHaHa Have a great Wednesday everybody!

  1. Congrats to the winners of your awesome blog giveaway. The photos are so beautiful, the lace combined with the bold red lips is really haunting and beautiful. Both models are stunning too, I'm sure that helps! LOL The jewelry is very chic without being blingy and still makes a statement.

  22. Congratulations to the winners :)! I love how you looked further than just the finished pictures and wanted to know the stylist and photographer. Often people overlook them and just focus on the end product, but the stylist and photographer are equally as talented! The photos may have been touched up in photoshop as well, so the person who has done that would be really talented too:)! xo
