2018 BAFTA Red Carpet Favorites

The 71st British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) was this past Sunday. Just as with the Golden Globes, many actresses wore black in solidarity of #TimesUp. I really love all of these dresses, but Angelina, Salma, Lupita, Naomi and Gugu were my favorites. The floral design on Salma Hayek's dress was simply stunning. There was some controversy about Kate's green Jenny Packham dress. It was said that royalty cannot take a stance on political or controversial matters. That made me think! Can you imagine a life where you can't vocalize your opinion? I wouldn't make it in the royal family! HaHaHa I hope Meghan makes it, because she's very opinionated! HaHaHa To me it's like being in a marriage where you have no say :S Oh well! I thought Kate looked pretty as well.

Angelina Jolie (Ralph & Russo), Jennifer Lawrence (Christian Dior Couture), Salma Hayek (Gucci)
Margot Robbie (Givenchy), and Greta Gerwig (Jonathan Cohen)

Naomi Harris (Zuhair Murad Couture), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Cardinali), Lupita Nyong'o (Elie Saab),
Letitia Wright (Gucci), Rungano Nyoni (?)

Laura Bailey (Emilia Wickstead), Octavia Spencer (Sachin & Babi), Andrea Riseborough (Elie Saab)
Haley Bennett (Chloe), Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge (Jenny Packham)

So much elegance and it's great that they've continued the #TimesUp movement. Everyone looks great but Naomi Harris, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Margot Robbie were standouts to me.

Salma Hayek looked so stunning. I couldn't be in the royal family too Kim. I am way to rebellious for that! 😂

I did hear the controversy about Kate's dress. I thought she looked fantastic, and for someone who has to go by so many protocols, I think the addition of the little black belt was a nice touch.
My fave has to be Letitia Wright's dress, but I think I may be biased because I so love her in Black Panther:D

They all look stunning in their dresses, and I love the solidarity they showed in supporting the movement 🙌🏻 I do wish Kate wore black, as I think the importance of this movement transcends politics, but irregardless, she looked beautiful as always!

There were some gorgeous dresses at the BAFTAs. And I love that so many actresses are on board with the all black movement, it's such a powerful and important message.

All these dresses are gorgeous. I am too opinionated and outspoken for a Royal role too lol

They all wore such gorgeous gowns that evening! I liked Salma and Lupita's gowns which were so different. I read that Kate's black belt may have been her subtle signal that she supported the cause. Hmm, so maybe she was making a statement?
