Sara Happ The Lip Expert: PerfectPout In A Box, Plump & Prime Lip Airbrush and The Dream Slip Review and Swatches

PR Sample: Hey Guys! I'm super excited about today's post, because a PR representative of Sara Happ contacted me about three weeks ago (after this post) and asked if they could send me some Sara Happ products. My long time readers know I've been using and loving Sara Happ products since 2014, so I was absolutely ecstatic. PR sent me three things: Sara Happ The Lip Expert Perfect Pout in a box, Sara Happ The Lip Expert Plump & Prime Lip Airbrush and Sara Happ The Lip Expert The Dream Slip. I've tested these out for about 3 weeks now and I'm ready to give my honest thoughts on each. As always, my thoughts are 100% my own. To see the products in action and applied, refer to my Sara Happ YouTube Video Review.

Sweet-Bittersweet-NotSweet
supersweet(run & buy it) sweet(really good,buy it) bittersweet(ok, issues)not sweet(not good,don't buy this stuff)

Sara Happ The Lip Expert PerfectPout In A Box ($54-$78) - Supersweet
If Purchased Individually: Lip Scrub $22, Lip Slip $24, Lip Mask $32

Get this box set for yourself and as Christmas presents for all your friends! It is that good! The name is so befitting, because everything you need for beautiful lips is right here in this box. You receive one of each: Sara Happ The Lip Scrub in Brown Sugar, The Lip Slip One Luxe Balm, and Sweet Clay Lip Mask. Let's start with the Sweet Clay Lip Mask! When Sara Happ first came out with a lip mask, I gave her the side-eye. Really Sara? Do we really need a lip mask in our skin regimen? Face masks are all the rage, but a lip mask? After trying this, the answer is an astounding YES! I applied this bubblegum pink lip mask to my lips. I let it sit for 20 minutes. You don't look very pretty while wearing this lip mask and it feels like clay (healing Bentonite clay, softening Shea Butter, soothing natural oils, and regenerative Swertiamarin, an Ayurvedic herb sourced from the Himalayas). All of a sudden, I started seeing dead skin gunk pop-up atop the lip mask. After 20 minutes, I removed the mask with a warm washcloth. My lips felt absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! They were truly exfoliated. They were super soft & smooth. After that, I applied her lip scrub in Brown Sugar. I'm forever raving about her lip scrubs. Well Brown Sugar is no different! It looks & feels like brown sugar, but you know what? It's sweet like an iced cinnamon roll (and may I add DELICIOUS). Should you exfoliate AFTER doing the clay mask? YES, YES, YES! It won't be too much. The brown sugar lip scrub will polish your lips and add extra moisture. Think of your face! You cleanse & exfoliate your skin and then you moisturize. Same thing for lips! She offers an ASSORTMENT of different kind of lip scrubs you can purchase individually on her website, but Brown Sugar is in this box. The last product in the box is The Lip Slip One Luxe Balm. It's a baby pink, iridescent lip balm that's very creamy. It has a medicinal mint scent. It's very hydrating & moisturizing when applied to the lips. It's pretty much POOF!... dry lips be gone in a jar! It's great for both day & nighttime lip care. If you're not particular about a jar, on her website she offers Lip Slip in a tube for $18. I was super impressed with all three products and really saw a difference in my lips.

Sara Happ The Lip Expert Plump & Prime Lip Airbrush ($28) - Supersweet

Priming lips has also become really popular. I know using face primer before applying my foundation has made it apply better and last longer. Well same thing for lip primer! You guys know I was very impressed with Fresh's Lip Serum Advanced Therapy and I'm even more impressed with Sara Happ's lip primer. When I first applied this primer to my lips, nothing magical happened for me. It has a light pink creamy texture to it. It has a medicine scent. The skin on my lips seemed to absorb it FAST! That's why I have arrows on my hand swatch, because its hard to see. Your skin absorbs this formula and the magic happens when you apply your lip product of choice. My lips looked plumped & smooth without ANY tingling whatsoever. My lips looked hydrated. My lipsticks went on better. My liquid lipsticks applied better. You can watch my video and see it for yourself. In comparison, Fresh worked really well with my liquid lipsticks but not my stick lipsticks (streaky). I didn't test for that at the time, because lip primers were new to me. The Sara Happ worked well with both, plus gave me more MOISTURE than the Fresh one!

Sara Happ The Lip Expert The Dream Slip ($32) - Bittersweet
The last item I received was The Dream Slip. You SLATHER this creamy chamomile balm onto your lips at night and it's suppose to soothe, hydrate and renew your lips as you sleep. This balm is thick, creamy and feels hydrating to the lips when applied. It stays on your lips all through the night! But when I woke up the next morning, my lips weren't hydrated & soft to the level I expected them to be. I felt this did just an ok job hydrating my lips. I will say that I experienced some exfoliation during the night while this was on my lips. I feel the One Luxe Balm in the trio box (above) gives your lips A LOT more hydration than The Dream Slip. Plus you can use it day & night. So I would suggest purchasing that one. It also felt better to my lips (more nourishing).

I've been a fan of Sara Happ's lip scrubs since 2014 (see my collection of boxes below). Besides her regular lip scrubs, she also comes out with Limited Edition flavors. She just created a caramel latte flavor and for a limited time she has re-released Sprinkles (cupcake) red velvet flavor where 10% of all profits will go to Baby2Baby helping children in need. I want to thank PR for sending me these products and letting me review them for my readers. I really appreciate it.

  3. The Perfect Pout in a Box sounds like such a great set, Kim! I've never used a lip mask or even considered one, but my lips are perpetually in rough shape so I know I could definitely benefit from one ;)

  4. This boxed set sounds so freaking awesome, Kim! Not to be disgusting, but I have skin always coming off my lips so I'm the perfect candidate for a lip exfoliator and scrub. My lippies always go on kinda funky even with using a balm before so that primer also sounds pretty good to me:D
PS Love the vid. Didn't know SH is in Nordstrom! Also love your timer:D

  7. Kim, I know you've been a longtime fan of Sara Happ products so I'm really happy that their PR team reached out to you with these goodies. It's too bad that the Dream Slip wasn't that moisturizing overnight but that Lip Primer sounds amazing! This box would make a lovely gift!

  17. Perfect pout in a box sounds lovely. Good to hear that the first two are supersweet:) and bittersweat one doesn't sound to bad either. Even if the Dream Slip doesn't provide that much moisture, it is still nice that it stayed on the lips during the whole night and made them softer (even if not as soft as you expected. All in all, seems like a great trio!
