Sample Sunday: Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana

Everything about Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana is dreamy, romantic, flirty & sexy! The box the perfume comes in, is light pink with black script and grosgrain ribbon. The bottom of the perfume bottle reminds me of a bottle filled with white wine. The top is adorned with a beautiful sculpted flower & delicately tied bow. This is merely a deluxe sample of this perfume. I used some of my Sephora VIB points to acquire this and I must say it was points well spent. The scent? Delightful! Unlike many perfumes, you can put this directly under your nose and deeply inhale (it's that soft). Rub it on your wrist and breathe the fragrance in. It's calming. It's tranquil. It's soft. It's feminine. It's fresh. This is the kind of scent guys will love on you and nestle their head underneath your chin. I'm not a perfume lover (at all), nor am I a fan of floral scented perfumes, but I love this. I'll list the notes below (as described by the company), but if I had to describe this perfume, I would say white flowers and spring breezes. Love is in the air! On a side note, I love that companies are making smaller size bottles of perfumes (this one comes in five sizes). Even with my favorite perfume (Wish by Lollia), I've never used a bottle completely. Don't forget to use Ebates!

Top - The fragrance opens with a brightly-coloured, sweet-smelling explosion of Neroli leaves and Papaya flower, dissipating into a floral bouquet as the core of the fragrance emerges.

Heart - A unique and opulent combination of White Water Lily and bold White Daffodil blend perfectly with the full-bodied White Amaryllis, a South African flower used for the first time ever in scent.

Base - This floral signature is counterbalanced by the background of warm Musky notes, along with the complex accents of Cashmeran; leaving a sensual trail of light woods, earthy tones and piquant spices.

  4. that is super cute! I'd love to give it a try! :)

I find perfume bottles last me a really long time too! The only one I've ever consistently finished was my daily vera wang one..but I went off that in pregnancy and haven't been game to try it again. Made me gag one day in the first trimester and it's hard to get rid of that memory haha! I'm hoping I can ease back into it, it was a great daily go-to!

  9. Hey Kim, I love floral scent and coming from you who isn't a perfume person and isn't a fan of floral scent, I think I would love this fragrance. And when you said you could put the perfume directly under your nose and deeply inhale and mentioned soft and fresh and that it is the kind of scent guys will love on you and nestle their head underneath your chin, you make me wanna go out and sniff this perfume and buy it if I like it. I think I would like it. It really sounds very fresh and soft like what you mention. The only thing is I wonder if the scent would last. What a great review, Kim. One that would really entice your readers to buy.
