Foreo Issa Toothbrush Review

Sponsored. DOES IT WORK? That's the question I often asked myself whenever I saw the Foreo Issa Toothbrush. I would see it online. I would see it in stores. I would see the PRICE...$199! LOL That's where my interest in this silicone toothbrush would shut down and completely stop. So I was very excited when asked if I would like to test it out and provide a review. Sure! Now you guys know I don't beat around the bush with things. So let's first get to the million dollar question! Does this silicone toothbrush beat out my manual toothbrush? NO. Now let me tell you why! My teeth nor tongue ever felt super CLEAN after using this toothbrush. They felt somewhat clean, but not totally clean. Even after brushing twice! Plus this toothbrush, does not do a very good job getting in-between teeth. Of course you have to floss, but unlike a manual toothbrush or electric toothbrush it doesn't reach into those spaces. So, that's the bad for me. What's the good? This toothbrush made my teeth SHINE & GLEAM! They looked POLISHED! This seems to be more of a polisher! It also made my gums feel really good (almost like a massage). This toothbrush is very gentle on both tooth enamel & gums. So this may be a good choice for someone experiencing any sensitivity issues. The Foreo Issa is a silcone (quick drying, non-porous, prevent bacteria) toothbrush that PULSATES (11,000 pulsates per minute)! It's ergonomically correct (feels great in the hands), has 8 speeds (you use the +/- symbols to adjust the speed) and it only takes and hour to charge (1 charge is suppose to last 6 months). Foreo gives you a USB cord, to charge your toothbrush (the flashing light at the bottom of the device means it's still charging & once it stops flashing it's fully charged. PLEASE NOTE IT ONLY TAKES 1 HOUR TO CHARGE and Foreo warns against charging for 24 hours), but you'll need to either plug it into a USB port or do as I did and use your cell phone (iphone adapter) charger to charge this device. Overall, this toothbrush is very chic & modern. I love the look of it! I love the colors that are offered! But at the end of day, I want super CLEAN teeth & FRESH breath! The first thing Foreo mentions in their manual is 'whiter and brighter smile'. It DOES NOT mention CLEAN! I thought that was interesting. It did give me a whiter & brighter smile! But super clean? Don't expect such. The Foreo Issa is currently on sale at Nordstrom's. It's also sold at Foreo, Sephora and Amazon.

  2. Your honest reviews really are much appreciated, Kim:) TBH, I would not have really even looked at something like this because of that price:P It's great you were able to try it and was able to let us know your thoughts.

  3. I love your reviews. I think if I was looking to splurge, for me personally it wouldn't be on a toothbrush.

  4. I was previously sent this toothbrush to review and though it's fun to use, I had doubts about how clean it would get my teeth. I do love using and still use it my gums though. You nailed it when you said it was a massage Kim!

  5. Good to know, although like Emmy, this is not something that I'd even look to buy judging from the price range for a toothbrush, since I already use a electronic toothbrush that works well. Thanks for the review Kim.

  6. That's too bad! I have always just used a plain old manual toothbrush. Someday I should try a battery powered one and see if I like it.

  7. Electric toothbrushes can get crazy expensive and I so often wonder if they live up to the hype. It sounds like this one doesn't, which is a shame because it looks so stylish! But I always love your honest reviews :)

  10. Never would I have even thought there could existe a toothbrush that expensive !
As usual, I like your down to earth reviews - a tooth polisher and gum massager it is!

  11. You just confirmed my suspicion that this brush doesn't clean the teeth really well. I have always wondered how on earth will it clean in between the teeth. Thank you so much for an honest review, Kim, always can count on you for giving your real thoughts. That said, I really want the Foreo Luna 2 but it's soooo pricey!

  12. I've never heard of this before, or anything like it! But heck no I wouldn't pay almost $200 for a tooth brush! That's awesome you were able to try this out Kim!! I wouldn't be able to use something that didn't make my teeth and mouth feel clean. I'm super ocd, of my mouth feels dirty o get anxious LOL! But my teeth and gums are sue or sensitive so I can see how this would be good for that like you mentioned. And that's awesome it made you teeth shiny and nice looking! Maybe this could be used quickly for a shine treatment after a normal toothbrush lol!

  14. I've never heard of this toothbrush before, it's very interesting and modern, like you said, and of course I love that the one you choose is all pink :) The thing is, it seems like you have to either brush with a different toothbrush first, to get that clean feeling and then use this as a polish or always make sure to floss. I will be honest in say that I don't always do it, though I do it often. It seems with this you'd have to, which doesn't necessarily seem like a bad thing if you think about it. I think for the price, there's just way too many added steps you'd have to do to get that clean feeling. Perhaps they can use your feedback to perfect their design, then it would be amazing! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  15. Dear Kim, thank you for the straightforward review. I was wondering about Foreo toothbrush too. The thing is I have sensitive gums and my dentist always warns me against vigorous brushing (which I can't help). While it doesn't work for you, it might be a good fit for me...have a lovely day my friend Baci, Valeria - Coco et La vie en rose NEW POST

  26. I almost bought this brush last week when I had a discount coupon for Sephora, but decided against it since I was convinced it would give me the clean feeling I prefer. Glad I was right. Perfect review, Kim.
