Skinny & Company: Coconut Oil & Sugar Scrub Unboxing, Review, Swatches And Video

Sponsored: It's funny how things happen. I've been wanting to try Skinny and Company and was pleasantly surprised when asked if I would like to review a couple of their products :) I was sent their Coconut Oil and Sugar Scrub to review. My thoughts on each are below.

Skinny & Co's Coconut Oil and Sugar Scrub are Supersweet

Why did I want to try Skinny & Co?

Well many of you know the struggle I've been going through with getting my hair to grow again.  Overall, it's been a process, but I'm happy to say I now have a pigtail! HaHaHa What I've learned through this process, is that my hair loves and needs OIL. I've tried maracuja oil and it worked wonders. Upon researching further, coconut oil was also highly suggested! So I wanted to try THE BEST coconut oil out there. You guys know I love the best! That led me one night to reading about Skinny & Co. I read that their coconut oil contained NO FILLERS, NO CHEMICALS, NO PRESERVATIVES. It's COLD PRESSED, so the enzymes & nutrients are never compromised. It's alkaline and pH balanced. Plus it's CLEAR, PURE and PESTICIDE FREE. I also liked the fact that their coconut oil was NON-TOXIC and EDIBLE. Yes, not all coconut oil is the same. I was going to purchase some of their products, but then they contacted me. I was so happy. Ok, more like ecstatic! HaHaHa

Skinny & Co. Coconut Oil

As mentioned above, this coconut oil is free from the nasties! So that was a big plus in my book! The coconut oil was in liquid form, when I received it. It was very clear! Once it sat overnight, it solidified and turned into a solid. It was very thick, rich & creamy. The second thing I noticed, was its scent. It smelled like fresh coconut & vanilla. It really smelled good! I've tried this coconut oil on my skin & also hair. A little goes a very long way! It "melts" very quickly! This is an excellent moisturizer. It left my skin moisturized and my hair soft. If you would like to learn more and see a demonstration, be sure to check out my YouTube video below. Skinny & Co.'s coconut oil comes in a number of sizes and has many uses: face, body, cooking & more. Check out their YouTube channel for more ideas.

Skinny & Co. Sugar Scrub

I was also sent a jar of their Sugar Scrub. I love scrubs (when they work), but in the past I've had my share of bad ones. HaHaHa I've shared this before, but some of the scrubs I've tried have been too harsh and abrasive. Some have been too greasy & oily. This sugar scrub looks just like brown sugar, but it smells like fresh coconut & raw vanilla. It honestly smells freshly picked. This scrub looks very dry, but when you work it into your skin you'll see how well it moisturizes. Definitely watch the demonstration in my video below. After using this scrub, my skin looked moisturized and had a healthy glow. I can definitely see the long-term benefits of using this scrub. You can also use this as a lip scrub! It does an excellent job exfoliating the lips! It also tastes good! You'll want to lick your lips (and YES, it's ok to do so).

  1. I've heard such great things about this company and their products! I would love to try them since I'm a huge coconut oil user!! I'm so glad you love these Kim! And your video was amazing, I can tell you worked hard on it and I really hope you make more video!!
I love using coconut oil in my hair, and I use it every single night in place of a night time moisturizer. It's amazing how well it works with my skin. And I put it in my tea and hot lemon water too! So so many good things it can be used for!

It's so true that not coconut oil is created equal and this is one brand I definitely need to check out. I love hearing that their products are multi-purpose as well.

  13. Look at that, it was meant for you try! I have the opposite, my hair is super oily at the roots, so I can't even apply it there because as you can imagine, no matter how much I try to wash it out, it still stayed greasy in my hair, so I can only apply a little to the ends. The brand seems great in providing authentic, untouched coconut products, that scrub really did give your skin a visible glow in the video! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

  23. That's so awesome that you got sent something from a brand you have wanted to try! I love that! I use coconut oil a lot, and I used to remove my makeup with it before I got into using micellar waters. I've heard a little about this company, and I would love to try one of the scrubs! Great review and video, Kim!

  26. coconut oil sounds heavenly. i tried jojoba oil for my scalp and hair but it just left it looking really greasy, which was ok since i was only doing it overnight. i'll have to definitely look into coconut oil (we cook with it and love to have it as part of our diet as well! good stuff!)
