Margarita Bloom: Sweet or Not Product Review

I'm A Bath Girl!
I Love Bath Products!

One day I received a very nice comment on one of my blog posts from Margarita Bloom. I was like wow, this isn't one of my everyday readers. Who is she? Her blog profile picture really stood out and caught my eye. I liked it, because I love vintage, 50's, 60's, girly stuff. So when I clicked on the blog link I read all of these fun fabulous fantastic blog topics and found out that Margarita Bloom is an online shop that sells BEAUTY and SKINCARE products. You guys know it doesn't take much to reel me in. HaHa I had to try these products to see if they worked and if they were as cute as they looked!

So Margarita Bloom's beauty and bath products are the FIRST to appear on A Very Sweet Blog's NEW product review segment... SWEET OR NOT.

I've never tried Margarita Bloom's products before, so I was excited to see how they worked. I perused the Margarita Bloom site, picked out what I wanted and....Oh Look! My beauty goodies arrived! HaHaHa

How are the products? When you visit her online store, her products are grouped in various collections. So in order to test them, I picked products from her wide selection of collections. Let's see if her products are as sweet as she says they are and as they look! This is not a sponsored post. I purchased these products and these are my honest reviews of all of them.

The Rating Scale: Sweet - Bittersweet - Not Sweet

Beach Bonita Collection
One Night In Fiji Coconut Lovely Lotion
SWEET

I REALLY love this lotion. You know you smell good when you're continuously sniffing your arm and hands! HaHaHa The name of this lotion is absolutely perfect and befitting. It's very creamy, has a great coconut scent and is NOT heavy or greasy. I hate when a lotion is heavy and/or sticky. It's the best coconut scented lotion I've tried up to this date. It left my skin very soft and I smelled really good. All you need is a tropical drink and you'll swear you're on Fantasy Island. I love this stuff!

Aphrodites Heaven Collection
Strawberry Angel Cake Exfoliating Luxe Scrub
SWEET
It's strawberries. It's angel cake. I would also add cotton candy and bubble gum to the description, because it is absolutely delightful. I'm very finicky about scrubs, because I have sensitive skin. In the past, some have been too abrasive (leaving red patches on my skin) or it's just too oily. This scrub has just the right amount of abrasive crystals in it and unlike other scrubs it foams up while you're using it. I thought that was really nice. It rinsed off well and my skin was ultra soft after using it just once. It's an excellent scrub.

Hollywood Land Collection
Pinktini Raspberry Lime Sea Salt Soak
SWEET
If you want to soften your bath water (and your skin), this is a definite BUY. The water in New Orleans is pretty soft (I know there are a lot of places that have hard water). I've always been a fan of bath salts. These come in a really cute "take-out"container and the salts are wrapped in a separate cellophane bag within. The pink colored crystals smell very nice in the container and have a very soft scent when you sprinkle them in your bath water.

Hollywood Land Collection
Lola's Strawberries and Champagne Bath Wash
SWEET
Ok, I picked TWO from the Hollywoodland Collection, but I couldn't resist! HaHa This body wash has a very soft scent to it. It really does smell like champagne with a hint of strawberries in it. The scent is very light, clean and produced a lovely lather. I love the container it's in. The pump made it very easy to dispense. The best way to describe this bath wash is refreshing!

Mademoiselle Collection
Joie De Vivre (The Joy of Life) Beauty Potions Treat Bag

Margarita Bloom has LOTS and LOTS of beauty products! There was no way I could try them all at one time. So I was delighted to see that they had a SAMPLE bag of their products. They don't tell you what products you're going to get, but they gave me samples of items I did not purchase. So I really liked that. Below are the reviews of the samples.

Wanderlust Conditioner
SWEET
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I still can't get over this conditioner. I just ordered some more (that's how impressed I was with it). I have dry hair. I'm always using various moisturizing conditioners in it and over time it still becomes dry. I used the entire sample of this conditioner and my hair was SOFT, FLUFFY, DETANGLED and IT FELT REALLY GOOD. It coated the hair nicely and has a distinctive rose scent (there are other scents if you're not a fan of rose). I never thought I would say this, but this is THE BEST conditioner I have ever used and I have used salon expensive and drugstore stuff for years.
Wanderlust Shampoo
BITTERSWEET
Surprisingly, this shampoo didn't work for me. It didn't lather up. I don't know if it was due to the small amount in the sample or if it's just a shampoo that doesn't lather. I thought it would be too harsh to label this NOT SWEET, because the conditioner was so very good. Again, maybe there just wasn't enough of the shampoo in this particular sample. The full-size container looks very creamy. So, for me the decision is still out. I think I will try the full size and then update this post then.

Aphrodite Drizzle Body Oil
SWEET
This was another surprise! I would've never bought this for myself, because I run from anything that says OIL!!! Let me tell you I love it!!! It's an oil, but it doesn't have an oily feeling to it at all. After showering (and stay in the shower/tub), drizzle a small amount all over your body and rub it in (do not rinse). It has the loveliest scent. I dried off and my skin had the prettiest glow to it. It's great! One suggestion! DO NOT shave and then use this product! HaHaHa It will tingle, and not in a good way. HaHaHa I would use this once a week.

Cooling Cucumber Toner Mist
SWEET
Again, I have sensitive skin you guys and I don't use everyone's facial beauty products! So I would've never ordered this for myself. It has a lovely scent of cucumbers. It's cool to the skin and it left my face super soft. I think I'll have to try their beauty line. HaHa

Rose Dead Sea Mud Masque
SWEET
This is a fabulous masque! It was just the right consistency. It's thick, creamy and felt really good when I applied it. After application, it drys and tightens. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse.Your face will thank you! Love it!

Mermaid's Lore Dead Sea Clay & Seaweed Masque
NOT SWEET
It was going so well. HaHaHa This is a dry format masque, so unlike the one above, you have to mix it with a wetting agent (yogurt, honey, etc.). It just didn't give me the same consistency as the mud masque. My minor was Chemistry in college so I know how to mix things. HaHa It just didn't work for me. It was too liquidity despite not using much yogurt. I prefer the one above.

Fairytales & Folklore Luxe Bath Soak
SWEET
If you like dried rose petals and lavender in your bath water, then this product is for you! It's very luxurious. You want to break out a bottle of your best champagne, put on some soft music and just soak. It will soften your skin and make your bath water very pretty. If that's too much for you, then go with the Pinktini bath salts. I love both!
A Very Sweet Blog's Final Word: Overall, I give Margaret Bloom an A. As you can see, I pretty much loved all of their products and would highly recommend them. I don't think there is one company, that has a collection of perfect products. But I must say, hers came very close in my book! HaHaHa Margaret Bloom is a small business, so I think it's exemplary that they have such a wide variety of products and offer superb quality. You can find Margaret Bloom on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Blogger and Tumblr. I hope the above reviews were helpful.
