Jill Stuart Secret Control Correcting Concealer Review

Oh gosh! How fancy is this? A concealer inside a chandelier crystal!?! HaHaHa Cheers to imagination and presentation! Jill Stuart gets an A+ for both. You will never view concealer the same way again. HaHaHa Jill Stuart's Secret Control Correcting Concealer comes in 5 (FIVE) shades, and unlike other concealers, they all do different things (it's not about your skin tone):

(01) Luminous Pink - for those who want to make the area around their eyes brighter
(02) Warm Pink - for those concerned about blue circles under their eyes, or who want to make their eyes appear more flushed and vivid
(03) Cream Yellow - for those concerned about brown circles under their eyes, or who like a natural finish
(04) Light Beige - for those who want to make their skin brighter, and to cover acne and blotches
(05) Medium Beige - for those who want healthy skin, to cover acne and blotches...can also be used as nose shadow and along the face line. I purchased (05) Medium Beige on eBay from a Hong Kong seller (here and here). You can view other vendors in my previous Jill Stuart review.

Here are my thoughts: The Medium Beige #05 Correcting Concealer illuminated my skin and blurred small imperfections. I also noticed it toned down the redness in my skin. Overall, I felt it made my complexion look more even and smooth. It also gave it a nice glow. It does not hide freckles, dark spots or under eye circles (<--I guess I would have to buy #03 for that! HaHaHa). I won't stop using my Benefit Boi-ing Concealer (it helps with my dark under eye circles and sun spots), but I will definitely use this in conjunction with it. I was really surprised at how much product you get. The package (chandelier crystal) is small, but you get an ample amount of product. You only need 1-2 dabs per cheek. This is safe to use all over your face (as I did below). You don't have to dab it on just one area (like your normal concealer). It's light coverage, but effective. As my friend and fellow blogger Jo of White Roses and Coffee said in my previous Jill Stuart post (comments section), Jill Stuart's products are not cheap (she's purchased them before). That's why I wanted to test them, and share my thoughts with you. This concealer alone, can cost you from $29 on eBay to $37 elsewhere. This is a nice little LUXURY, but I don't know about buying it again & again for everyday use. I see some results, but nothing that has me swinging from chandeliers. HaHaHa I still give it a sweet rating, because it does what it says and it's really cute.

  1. I'd buy it for the packaging alone - I love a bit of luxe! X

  3. Sadly or sickly, I would buy this for the packaging, haha!! Might even hang them up, hahahahaha!! But, the price is a little crazy. But, am happy they worked, but if you can get something cheaper that works just as good and maybe even better, I would most likely stick with what I have, but the packaging does sway me. Happy Wednesday peach, hope you are doing well :)) Xxx

  5. Hi Kim! Oh, it is definitely the most original and coolest packaging I have seen so far for just a concealer!I Lol, Id buy only for it cause it is too nice to watch!:) Sounds good too but is little expensive so I dont know if I would buy, maybe the n.01 as Im always concerned to make the area around the eyes brighter. Btw, Kim you have such sweet freckles, you dont have to hide them! And u always suggest the Boi-ing, I will buy it instead. Many kisses! xo

  8. Eek. That is some pretty pricey stuff! I do enjoy the packaging but I think it is something that can look quite cheap in the wrong circumstances. Novel ideas like this usually always have the same effect, though. Interesting that the five concealers are for different things; I have actually been looking around trying to find different concealers that will do different jobs because one doesn't seem to defy all problems. Hope you're having a lovely day, Kim. Nice and honest review, as always. Rosemary x

  12. They are really cute - and I like the idea of having different ones to conceal different things, instead of just one blanket one. Nice idea :)

  19. The package is really original indeed. And how cool it comes in 5 shades for every occasion. And it is important that they are economic enough. Not very cheap indeed but at least it's worth paying the money.

  22. Here is the thing--- I like make up that is quality and that works…. so sometimes I am willing to pay a bit more… this sounds like one I would be willing to try, especially after my experience with their mascara.

  23. Like you say, to spend that much money on concealer I have to be swinging on a chandelier and very happy with the results.
Now that I think of it, I actually don't wear concealer ;)

  27. The packaging of this concealer is too pretty - and so creative! Jill Stuart definitely understands the importance of details. The creamy yellow concealer sounds like just what I need in my life, undereye circles are the bane of my existence ha ha! Thanks for another great review, Kim.

  49. I would be interested in trying the warm pink. I tend to have a bit of blue under my eyes and under eyes uses so little product it would probably last a really long time. At that price, though, I wouldn't want to buy something I was using all over my face because it would be gone too quickly! :) Like you said, though, very cute packaging! I love reading your blog because I get introduced to so many products I would never hear about otherwise!
