Halloween In New Orleans 2017

I love showcasing the beautifully decorated homes in New Orleans around Halloween! Everyone really gets into the holiday and there's always so much creativity. As I walked around taking pictures, it was really nice meeting some of the homeowners, hearing their stories and petting their four-legged friends ;) My mom had hip replacement surgery last year, so I was unable to get around the city in 2016 to take pics (now she's walking faster than me HaHaHa). If you're new to A Very Sweet Blog, please check out my posts from 2013 & 2015. Oh the surprises that await you! The 2017 crop of Halloween pics I took below should tickle your fancy bone. So cute! I will showcase The Skeleton House tomorrow!

  1. We don't really do Halloween here so I love when you do these posts Kim - it's so nice to see the houses all done up! I heard a rumour that there's a street near us that does Trick or treating and decorations for Halloween but I've never been able to find out more sadly!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend! We are having a quiet one today dealing with sick toddlers.

  2. I remember the past posts you did, Kim....Man...New Orleans definitely know how to do Halloween right:) I love seeing these. That one with the Headless Horseman is pretty awesome, and so is the flying witch.
    Happy Sunday!

  3. Oh I love the creature coming out the tree! Creepy. All the decorations are so fun. Those white pumpkins against the white house are so pretty. Subtle and classy for Halloween decor. I remember the skeleton house from last year so I am looking forward to seeing what they did this year!

  4. I always love seeing your Halloween pics around your city Kim. They are truly awesome. We don't celebrate halloween in my country the way you do. So I love looking at your pics and seeing all the wonderful things that people come up with. 💕💗

  5. Thanks for sharing Kim! I always enjoy these posts of yours because New Orleans really knows how to get into the Halloween spirit! This is a fun mix of cute and creepy decor. Is it wrong that I want to hug the
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? I'm so glad to hear your mom is fully recovered and a speedster again ;p

  6. I always love these Halloween posts, Kim - New Orleans certainly does know how to get dressed up and creative for the holidays! The Stay Pufft marshmallow man is really something. There aren't too many Halloween decorations where I live, most people skip right to Christmas because it always gets cold and snowy around Halloween, which makes it too hard and not very safe to be outside climbing ladders to change over the decorations.
