IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream With SPF 50+, Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush #7, Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush #6 Review and Swatches

Sponsored: Let's talk FOUNDATION! What kind of coverage do you need? Full, Medium, Lightweight? IT Cosmetics has THREE foundations: Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ (full coverage), Confidence In A Compact with SPF 50+ (full coverage) and Bye Bye Lines Foundation (medium coverage) I have TWO! I'll be reviewing the CC+ Cream today and the Bye Bye Lines Foundation tomorrow. NOTE: I was given IT Cosmetics CC Cream (Medium Tan & Tan) and two Heavenly Luxe makeup brushes at the IT Cosmetics Happy Hour Event. All opinions are 100% my own in this review.

IT Cosmetics CC+ Color Correction Full Coverage Cream $38 - Sweet

I've always been a full coverage girl. When I was younger it was more about covering up little acne issues, but as I get older it's more about evening out my complexion that skincare hasn't done so far HaHaHa (dark areas, redness etc). IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream is a color corrector, skin brightener, camouflager, full coverage foundation. It has SPF 50+ UVA/UVB broad spectrum physical sunscreen. It's infused with an anti-aging serum made of hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and vitamins A, B, C and E that work in harmony to diffuse the look of wrinkles, minimize pores and give you a more radiant, supple and flawless-looking complexion. I received this in Medium Tan and Tan. The Medium Tan shade worked for me. I gave the Tan shade to my mom (which worked for her). I swatched both for you below. IT Cosmetics currently offers this foundation in 7 shades, but by the end of 2018 they are expanding it to 12 shades. In the past, I've never had much luck with CC cream. It never gave me the coverage I needed. Well not this one! It covers beautifully. I tried applying this with a beauty blender, but it won't give you full coverage. I found a brush to work a lot better when applying this CC cream (if you truly want full coverage). It applied well and if you let it sit for a couple of minutes on your skin (before applying color makeup) it really has a beautiful finish. I just have one quirk about this foundation. There's a lot of luminosity (glow) in it! Some may say, well that's good! I have super dry skin and it was a lot of glow for me! This luminosity can be tamed! PR gave me IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Translucent Powder (will review tomorrow along with Bye Bye Lines Foundation (medium coverage). So I powdered my face down. The end result (last two pictures) was a beautiful GLOW! But you still see that glow peeking through from the foundation. The reason I bring this up, is if you have oily skin this may be an issue. No matter what skin type you are, you will need a finishing powder. I wish they would've put a little less glow in it, but again it can be resolved with powder. I finished my look by adding IT Cosmetics Confidence In Your Glow Warm Glow (used as a blush) and Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Kristen. I felt they all blended well together.

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Makeup Brush No. 6 ($48) - Sweet

According to IT Cosmetics' website this brush applies loose and pressed powder foundations. Before reading this, I used it to buff in this foundation. It worked! LOL No quandaries. This brush is great for foundation you really want to work in (from my experience with it).

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Makeup Brush No. 7 ($48) - Sweet

Remember yesterday, I said I applied my concealer with a double-ended brush? Well this is the brush. The smaller end is for concealer. The larger end is for foundation. I usually use beauty blenders for applying foundation & concealer, but with the formulation of IT Cosmetics foundations & concealers, they work better with brush application. Whether you use your own brushes or purchase theirs. The Heavenly Luxe Collection is new to their makeup brush line. I like the smaller handles of the brushes. Does anyone else like small handles in comparison to longer handles. I just feel I have a better grip on things. Love the super soft bristles. Also the head of the foundation brush is much smaller than other foundation brushes. You can really work the foundation into various areas of your face.

  1. I was so interested in this CC Cream, but the glow would be a deal breaker for me. Even if a powder could temporarily settle the issue, I get so glowy by myself, I need to go for matte and still need a powder.

  2. IT Cosmetics really does sound like such an awesome line, Kim. Although I tend to get oily, I don't mind using "glow" stuff in the dead of winter so this full coverage cream seems like something I could still try. And those brushes look fab! I like small handles too.

  3. I like CC creams for days when I want slightly lighter make-up. I find they still offer the full coverage I like, at least for the most part, but in a lighter formula that is easier to room - which is a win-win! I don't have a favourite brand, I tend to just try different formulas from my local drug store to see what works. But this looks so great on you, Kim, I think I will have to give it a try when I need a new CC cream.

  5. I am a huge fan of their CC cream and should really repurchase! I remember using only it for months which was unheard of with me.

  7. I love that this product has 50 SPF being from a family with melanoma on both sides. The protection is so important.

  8. I haven't been a fan of this duo. Maybe because I have oily skin and the CC cream made me look very shiny...

  9. I do think it gives you a lovely glow Kim! I have more oily skin so I feel like it may be too glowy for me. I want to say that I have tried this before and while I did like it, I was super oily by the afternoon. And that included using a powder to set it. I will have to try it again and give it another chance to see how it works. Those brushes look so nice!

  11. The brushes look soooo soft and fluffy! I also prefer beautyblenders but sometimes the right brush can sway me. The cc cream looks so natural and glowy on you! I really wanted to love it, but couldn't find a shade match :(

  14. I always thought CC cream was like BB cream in that it's usually light coverage, so it's great to know there are other options out there with more coverage! :)

I see what you mean about it having a lot of glow. I know photos are different to how people feel, but it really does look like a beautiful glow on you in the photos Kim! You look wonderful as always, and I'm really enjoying your progress shots! :)

Hope you are having a lovely week.

  16. It really does have a nice natural coverage, your skin looks flawless! I have one of their brushes, but I have no clue what it's called, lol. The quality is superb though, I purchased it a few years ago and it's still going strong; I'll have to check these two out. Thanks for sharing, gorgeous!

  17. I'm a huge fan of IT Cosmetic's makeup brushes, they're so fantastic! I've only tried their IT x Ulta brushes but I have my eyes set on a few of the brushes from their regular line. I really like the foundation finish on you, it imparts a really natural glow!

  18. Damn those brushes look gooooood! I've recently updated my brushes, but I'm definitely wishing I had included one or two of these in my new set. Pretty sure I've said this before, but I love how detailed your reviews are - including swatches etc. :)

  20. I'm so glad you reviewed this product Kim! I've been wanting to try it for awhile but wasn't sure if it would be compatible with my dry skin but since it worked well for you, I have a feeling it might be ok for me as well. The glow actually sounds appealing to me as well but it's good to know that it can be easily toned down.
