IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer Review & Swatches

Sponsored: One of the products I received at the IT Cosmetic Happy Hour, was the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer. What you need to know about this concealer is, IT IS FULL COVERAGE! It will cover tattoos. Another important thing to know, is a little goes a long way. You don't need much. During the IT Cosmetics Masterclass, the presenter mentioned you only need the size of a grain of rice for each area. That is true, because it easily spreads. You would think that since this concealer is full coverage, it would be heavy. Well, surprisingly it was not (only if you apply too much). I found the best way to apply this concealer, was with a concealer brush. I was given a double-ended foundation/concealer brush (IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection No. 7 Makeup Brush ... I will show it to you in tomorrow's blog post) and found that using the concealer end made applying this really easy. I applied this concealer under my eyes, chin and both sides of my face. I then applied foundation & powder. If you look at my no makeup to powder picture, you'll notice this concealer cancelled out any redness and darkness on my face. What I found great about this concealer was it can be used both under or over foundation. It blends well. Everyone knows my favorite concealer is Tarte's Shape Tape. It still is, but if you have stubborn hyper-pigmentation, really dark acne scars, darkness, redness, tattoos etc., I would encourage you to pick-up this concealer. Apply this concealer with a brush to those areas (remember it is buildable) and watch the transformation. I will be using this in conjunction with Tarte's Shape Tape. This concealer is currently offered in 6 shades, but with the expansion of their foundation shades in 2018 this will probably change. I was given the shades Medium and Medium Tan. Medium was too light for me, but I swatched it for you below. Medium Tan complimented me a lot better, so that is what I used. This concealer also has hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants. Check out other concealers I've reviewed (Tarte and IT Cosmetics are my favorites so far). Have you tried this concealer? What are your thoughts? What is your favorite brand of concealer to hide problem areas?

  2. Sounds perfect for me. My spots usually leave very dark marks that stay with me a long time and I have a hard time getting them covered.

  3. It sounds like a great concealer Kim, and I like the in-progress photos to see what it looks like when worn :) I definitely need concealer for the big bags under my eyes that come from not a lot of sleep and running around after toddlers haha!

Hope you are having a lovely start to the week.

  4. Wow, Kim! I admit I was skeptical about a concealer that can cover tattoos, but it's obvious that this one lives up to its promises. I don't have too much on my face that needs major concealing, but as time goes on, you never know, so I'll keep this is mind.

  5. I do like their concealer. It's very high coverage. I think I have the waterproof one.

  6. Can we discuss your flawless skin though? Medium has been too light for me because I'm pretty dark from summer. I need more shades because it's great when you need crazy full coverage!

  7. This concealer really does an amazing job at covering dark circles. One thing I noticed on me is that it emphasized bags under my eyes that I normally don't see with normal concealer. Not sure if there is a way around this because the coverage is phenomenal.

  8. With only 6 shades available, I'm not convinced they'd have one (painfully) pale enough for my skin, but the effect looks fab on you Kim! Concealer has always been and probably always WILL be my fave part of the makeup process! Hope you're having a lovely week so far :)

  9. The coverage is remarkable and looks great on your skin, Kim! Unfortunately I couldn't make this work, it creases like mad on me despite setting it with powder.

  10. I've heard amazing things about this concealer Kim! I'm glad to know it lives up to its claims, and also that it doesn't feel heavy even though it's full coverage! It looks nice and I can definitely tell that it covers really well!

  13. I have this concealer, but not the waterproof version and I've felt it to be okay. I still use it, since I haven't found one I like better, but I've felt that it separates and creases easily under my eye, but now I think I know why...I put TOO MUCH, lol! Wow, a grain of rice; I typically put three dots under each eye. I'll have to try just one and see if it makes a difference, I'm sure that it will. Thanks for sharing, gorgeous, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  14. I now know what to get if i ever need a full coverage concealer. The coverage must be excellent if it even covers tattoos. I find that using less is more when it comes to most concealers unless they have really poor coverage.

  15. How fab that one can actually see the results. Sometimes I apply concealer and cannot tell the difference.
