Lancome Hydra Zen Gel Cream Moisturizer Review

Disclosure: I was sent Lancome's 2023 Advent Calendar for review in October. There were some products in the calendar, that I've never tried. I've decided to review those products this month. All opinions in this blog post are 100% my own and honest. This post contains affiliate links. I get commission for purchases made through the links in this post.

PR Sample: Another product in Lancome's 2023 Advent Calendar that I've never tried, is their Hydra Zen moisturizer. There are two different kinds of Hydra Zen. There is Hydra Zen Daytime Face Cream (for Normal and Dry Skin Types) and Hydra Zen Oil Free Gel Moisturizer with Salicylic Acid (For Oily & Combination Skin Types. shown below). For the record, I have dry skin. The first thing I noticed when I used this cream, was how lightweight and soothing this cream is to the skin. It feels like a drink of water for your skin. You feel it going into your skin. It's a very good feeling. I said, Oohh ... I like this! My skin felt instantly HYDRATED. I applied it all over my face and neck. My skin felt hydrated for a long time. Did it feel super-hydrated? No. My dry skin wanted me to apply more. Well, this formula is for Oily & Combination Skin Types. And before reading about the product, that is what I was going to suggest to my readers. This would be great for those skin types and that dry skin types may need something MORE. So I will have to try Lancome's Hydra Zen Daytime Face Cream. Because other than that, I was thoroughly impressed with this product. So what's in it? Lancome states, it is

"Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Amino Acids, this lightweight gel moisturizer delivers all-day hydration for healthy-looking, glowing skin. This refreshing gel cream soothes distressed skin and visibly reduces redness. After 4 hours, the lightweight formula increases skin’s hydration by 26%*. As it hydrates, the gel cream improves radiance and skin tone for healthy-looking skin. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid from natural origin, the gel cream delivers 24-hour hydration for plump, glowing skin. The lightweight gel texture delivers a comforting and refreshing feeling to the skin. The oil-free formula is perfect for oily and combination skin types to hydrate skin without leaving skin feeling sticky, greasy, or shiny-looking. Hydra Zen Gel Cream strengthens the skin’s moisture barrier. A strong skin moisture barrier helps skin lock in hydration and prevent moisture loss. The skin’s moisture barrier also defends against environmental aggressors like cold & dry weather."

I think many will like to use this product not only under makeup, but when you're traveling and need a hydration boost. If you don't want to carry a hydration spray, this is much more manageable and convenient. By car, commuting to work or traveling by plane, this fits the bill. I really like Lancome's Hydra Zen Gel Cream Moisturizer (Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue) Give it a try.
