Robert Fresh Market: Let's Go Grocery Shopping!

A Tisket...
A Tasket...
  Peek inside my basket!

Hey Everybody! It's the day before Thanksgiving! Since I'm busy in the kitchen cooking for the next two days, I thought I would give you a little peek of where I grocery shop. It's called Robert (pronounced "row-bear") and it's near my home.

Robert Fresh Market is small, but it's packed with LOTS of really tasty and unique things! They have freshly cut flowers, daily baked french bread, delectable crawfish pasta, hot beignets, tempting muffalettas, imported wine, specialty ice cream and a wonderful selection of fine cut meats & seafood. If I have BIG grocery shopping to do, I usually shop somewhere else. However, I love the charm of Robert. They have the best stuff! Hope you enjoy!

A Little Lagniappe - I'm taking tomorrow off from blogging (Thanksgiving Holiday)! But I'll be back with a yummy new post Friday!

Did you guys spot the Zapps New Orleans VOODOO Potato Chips? HaHaHa They have voo doo dolls on the bags! Our ice cubes, from Pelican Ice (our state bird) even have New Orleans Saints (for my international readers, that's our local football team) printed on the bags! As you can see from my car seat, I love freshly baked bread. HaHaHa

Have a great Wednesday and tell me what kind of grocery stores YOU like to shop at! BIG or small?

  1. I have a confession. As much as I LOVE shopping, grocery shopping is my least favorite. I don't know why, it just stresses me out! Ha.

Hope you have a very happy thanksgiving!

  2. I kept looking at prices... So much cheaper to shop in the States than here... :(

I LOVE grocery shopping, too, and can spend a lot of time in a supermarket, however I do buy my general groceries on-line and then stop by the shops for special bits and pieces.

    Have a lovely day tomorrow!

  4. What a fancy little grocery store! There's no little stores around here like that so I go food shopping in a huge Stop & Shop. They have great deals though.

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Kim!

Oh and thanks so much for the comment on Stephan's style post! I'm glad you liked the pictures because I am featuring him again sometime!

  20. This is a great post, Kim! And that little grocery story looks lovely!
It might sound weird but one of the things I like doing when travelling to new countries is visiting local supermarkets and browse the different foods you can find there hehehe
I love the picture of the black corn, that's something we don't have in Europe and I would love to try sometime. The pumpkins also look delicious :)
    Very happy Thanksgiving!

  30. Happy Thanksgiving darling! Ooo..Looks like you had a big sweep at the grocery store =D The ham looks good!!
For me, I don't cook so I'm not the one who does the grocery shopping. My bf aka personal chef, does the shopping and he always complain about how frustrating it is to get everything in 1 grocery store here. He got to run like 2-3 places to complete his list and he said unlike back home where he can do 1 round and that's it...blah blah blah...
