Beauty Bakerie | Sugar Sticks Lip Liners in Creme De La Crumb and Toasted Marshmallow Review

Not Sponsored: I have lip balms, lip primers, lip glosses and (of course) lipsticks, but over the years I never invested much money in LIP LINERS. I would always ask, WHY? I didn't see a need for it. So what is the purpose of a lip liner? Its use is to fill in uneven areas on the outer edges of the lips. Prevent "bleeding" and "feathering". Create contrast to make your lips stand out more. Lip liners are firmer in consistency than lipsticks (to keep everything within the lines). I just never had major problems wearing lipstick and didn't see the need for a lip liner. So why did I purchase these Beauty Bakerie Sugar Sticks Lip Liners? The packaging. LOL I mean, how CUTE! I like when makeup companies make makeup FUN! Do you know I've never eaten a sugar stick candy (rock candy). I've seen them. Thought they were pretty. But I've never tried one. I'll have to put that on my to-do list. But you want to know about these!?! Right!?! I'm getting there. They are offered in six shades: chocolate therapy, jello goodbye, creme de la crumb, toasted marshmallow, sweetish sugar and currant news. I purchased creme de la crumb and toasted marshmallow because lately I've been wearing neutral and brown lipsticks. The formula for these are really good. I found them to be creamy. They were easy to apply. I lined my lips very easily. The formula was thick enough to contain any lipstick I wore. So you can see the true color of each, I lined AND filled in my lips with each shade below. So both color and function are great with these! You can also make your lines thin or wide. The color is also build-able. If you want a darker line, simply go over it as many times as you wish. Smudge-proof? Water-proof? Yes, they're pretty tough with normal wear. These Sugar Stick Lip Liners are paraben free, cruelty free, and castor oil infused. The pen is fully retractable. I show the lip liner fully extended (how much product you get) in the picture below. Make sure the tip is fully retracted before reattaching the cap. The cap clicks (atop the pen) when fully closed. The sugar stick design looks so real. Love the purple and aqua color design. I'll probably get a couple of more of these to try with my lipstick wardrobe. They're very good.
