Not Sponsored: Do you remember all of those cute Christmas houses (they contained 3 makeup palette books) that Too Faced would make every holiday season? They were like little works of art. I still have them on display in my makeup room. Well people started to complain & gripe, and they stopped making them. Which leads me to today's review: Too Faced Gingerbread Lane. You guys, creativity has left the Too Faced building. We now have Gingerbread Lane with raspberries, bananas and one gingerbread girl. I know the whole Tutti Frutti makeup collection was for SUMMER, but WHY mix it in with Christmas stuff. What's wrong with making a cute frosted candy covered Gingerbread house that opens up to reveal three cute palettes. Instead, we have this flat box with FRUIT! Me displaying my Chrissy Teigen gif grin. Well, lets get to the three books inside. BERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS, is beautiful. It's a mix of neutrals and just the right touch of a light-colored berry shade for the cheeks & eyes. TOTALLY BANANAS is a neutral girls dream! It's filled with browns & beige's. Also a copper shimmer. The only thing I don't like is Butter Together which is a stark white. SUGAR PLUM COOKIE is a mix of purples (lavender, purple, pink) and then a peachy brown and gold. I don't see you using these all together, but maybe in conjunction with the other two books. Do you have these shades already in your makeup arsenal? YES (unless you're new to makeup). Is there anything that will spark your fancy? NO. There was no wow factor for me. I use to look forward to Too Faced's Christmas Collection, but now its just BLAH :( Make a GINGERBREAD HOUSE TOO FACED! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SPARKLE?
